I'm trying to upgrade to a paid membership but i keep getting sent to PayPal no matter what i do. I click "pay with a card" and it still sends me to either a paypal payment screen or a sign up for PayPal screen. Can someone tell me if im doing something wrong or is PayPal the only way to make payments to the website. Im kinda stuck

Thanks

I believe paypal is the only payment method currently accepted.

The forum having to handle CC fees and processing fees would be astronomical I think. Using paypal is the easiest method.

I'm not delving into the politics of paypal; that's a convo for smarter people than I.

So click the pay with debit or credit card on the paypal screen. Put in an email address and then uncheck the create account at the bottom. This allows you to pay without a paypal account.

I dont get option to bypass.

I get this....then when i click pay or next or whichever. I go straight to papal again with no option for card.

Amnesia......were you able to pay with a card?

Enter in your email. They have to be able to send you a receipt. In the next screen it gives you the option I posted.

Entered my email. Did everything you said. Still no option to bypass. Looks like ill have to use PayPal. Ill just text my wife and have her transfer money over. Oh well. It was worth a shot. But thank you guys

Give a screenshot of the next screen. Its towards the bottom of that next page.

You have to use PayPal. But you shouldn’t have to create the account. That’s what amnesia is trying to say.

You can also mail a check if you prefer.

Sorry im slow guys. Im at work this morning
that is because you were logged into paypal on that computer at some point. On that screen if you look at the top there is a "not you" link you can click that will allow you proceed by 100% logging you out of paypal.

Im still not showing the "not me" or "not you" option. Im a little computer-illiterate so I apologize. I have honestly been through the payment process around 6 or 7 times now and keep getting the same thing with none of those options to choose. Its showing that i need to log into paypay no matter what option I choose.

So my account just shows the "supporting member" flag now. What are the other designations like "Benefactor"....."Life Member"....."Multi-factor Enabled" etc etc. I know the 2A Bourbon now. Im not trying to get into someones business, just curious of the other rolls/members etc.

Thanks for supporting the forum. The Life Member tag is just that, Lifetime membership. It's $150 and never expires. The Benefactor tag is a one-time $50 donation to the forum. It doesn't expire but isn't the same as a Supporting Member or Life Member. The Muli-factor Enabled tag is a security setting. It means you have set up two step verification when logging on to the forum. This is highly recommended as we have had several members accounts hacked. You can find this setting under Password and Security in your account settings.
