It's absurd that I can feed my dogs cheaper from the meat counter than from the pet food aisle. I just fear that this will correct by doubling the price of meat - again.

Your truck value almost certainly went up, there is probably a good side hustle putting junkers together and selling them. What was “come tow this away” five years ago is now “accepting offers above $10k, I know what I’ve got!”.

I understand the compounding, but they say that is the 3yr change, not the change compounded every year for 3yrs.
