I'm looking to get my feet wet in the precision shooting. What's everyone's opinion on the savage axis 2 precision

I had one in 6.5 creedmoor. It was a decent option. Only reason I sold it was because I got a smoking Deal on an AR10 build

I was able to shoot it out to 550 yards which was all I had access to at the time

Stay away from the axis models. Most are not upgradable. Get a ruger precision Savage elite precision bagara b14. From there once you start shooting you will upgrade

I agree with @falconew run from an axis if you are looking precision. I’d rather have a base model 700 and drop a trigger tech diamond in it to learn and the sky is the limit on upgrades.
