I put the cart before the horse last week, shooting a newly-cut CZ457 barrel with my Surefire Ryder 22-S before I checked the fit with my Geissele Suppressor Alignment Gauge. No damage, as @COLTIMPALA had trued the barrel while I watched him prepare to cut the threads.
But, I typically use the rod on a new barrel for either a handgun .22LR barrel, or a 5.56mm barrel. It fit both fine.
It will not fit into a CZ457 barrel. Maybe that is why the CZ's group tighter than my Win52 🫤
Anyone noticed this issue before? The rod is a snug fit in all of my non-suppressed rimfires and 5.56mm rifles.
