Hello,
Im looking into getting a 12 GA camo Benelli SBE ( the first model) at a pawnshop and I was wondering what would be a good price to buy one for?
And the condition of the shotgun is fair it’s been used and abused pretty good.

I gave $900 for a used turkey model (24 barrel and pistol grip) but that has been a few years back. Not sure if they have went up or down with release of newer models.

I would say $1000 would be a decent deal? You can get a black 3 1/2“ SBE3 for $1500 on gun broker. You be close to $1700 after tax, shipping and transfer.

Just buy it and change the spring tube to the performance stainless steel tube and spring (as pictured) and you’ll have a lot more than the sbe3.

Who makes this and what is the big benefit? Curious for my SBE1. More reliable cycling? Recoil?
I have Gen 1 camo 28” and 24” bbls on mine. Forget why but needed different forend for the spare bbl, maybe that was a Gen 2 retrofit. Been a while. Great guns.

First and foremost, it’s stainless steel. My spring had broken in several pieces from years of very hard use and abuse duck hunting salt marshes to swamps and using it as it was meant to be used and in ways it wasn’t. The spring feels a little stiffer than the original did so I assume it’s slinging that bolt back into battery faster. I haven’t shot it since I put it in last year, the duck hunting just didn’t happen but hopefully I will test it in the upcoming month.

Thx - see them on MGW. I’ll have to strip mine down and check after all the years but never used it in salty regions. Never know tho. Good to have upgrade options.

$1250 would be an lower price for used camo gun in fair condition. More if in great condition up to $1500. A modern generation doesn’t change much at $1799 plus tax.

Heck I don’t even remember what it looks like as the son borrowed it 4 years ago to duck hunt in Kansas. Haven’t seen it since but I haven’t had a desire to bird hunt in a while. Nobody to go with anymore. Never used mine for any other birds but duck and geese.

It took a lot of muscle and a little heat to get mine off. The spring was in 4 pieces when I got it off. It took a pipe wrench but I wasn’t concerned about messing up the tube since I was replacing it.
