Wartime Upgrade… or Downgrade? You Decide!

Very nice indeed, those must be a fortune.

Was the cone muzzle device designed in an attempt to focus gas away from the bayonet or is it a flash suppressor?

Very nice rifles!

It’s part of the gas system. The Bang system, as it’s called, directed gas from the nose cone to the piston which drove the action for cycling.

AWESOME!!!

I've been wanting a G41(M) for a LONG time. Mauser 'followed the rules' and included a BOLT-ACTION as a back-up to the gas/semi-auto.

Ironically, my buddy just posted his in another forum on Thursday. He's got a collection of correct German sniper rifles I drool over, plus other 41's and 43's.

I wished I had some of these. I do have a K43 w/correct mount/scope.

I have a friend who has a pristine G41M and it’s crazy to handle and mess around with. Very clunky.

Yes I read somewhere that they initially were worried about taking too much gas pressure out of the system.
