……. “When they come for my guns I’ll just bury them in the woods” (or have a boating accident) as though that’s some kind of victory over the tyrants.
If they're buried in a hole, how will you use them when the tyrants come to your door? If they come for your guns today, they will be coming for your family tomorrow. History proves this. By hiding your guns you are making a deal with tyranny. When you make a deal with tyranny you get more tyranny!

Terry

If true tyranny comes to your door and you resist there is a good chance you will get to see your family brutally brought to their deaths before your demise. Those that successfully resist tyranny know their existence will be very short and choose their moments very wisely.

“I support the Second” and immediately follow the statement with a buncha preconditions they believe should be met before a citizen can exercise their RTKBA...

“But, but...we gotta have some rules!”

We do....one...the RIGHT of the people to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT be infringed.

Vetting, permits, forms, checks, extra taxes, limits, restrictions and prohibitions are ALL
tyrannical garbage whose design has but one purpose...control.

If you are a free man or woman, utilizing any means at your disposal to preserve your life, liberty and respective pursuit(s) of happiness is YOUR RIGHT.

"Well...we have to draw a line somewhere!"

Hogwash. That "line" was drawn in December of 1791 and it was put there for a damned good reason. If anything a legislature passes, an executive signs or the judicial interprets does not embrace the simple concept of and runs afoul of "shall not be infringed", it does not border on the "criminal" or "tyrannical", it IS criminal, it IS tyrannical and is in direct violation of a right enshrined in the BOR.

"That's radical"

Damned right, it is.

Yep, a buddy called me the other day asking about those tubes you can buy to bury guns/ammo/money etc. I asked what was he burying, he said an Ar pistol and some ammo. I asked why, he says in case they come for them, and I said curtly, when they come for them is when you need them. When it's time to rock and roll, put your headphones on and do work. And I've had people tell me "I support the 2nd, but nobody needs an AR/AK and thousands of rounds of ammo. Yeah, ok.

As has been said before, the moment you feel you need to bury them is the exact moment you should be digging them back up.

I also get irritated with the "I lost all mine in a boating accident" garbage. Not only is it overdone, its moronic to assume anyone would actually accept it as even remotely an excuse. "Gee Mr. ATF man, I no longer have that, I lost it in a boating accident..." If they are coming for them, they aren't going to be asking nicely.

No offense, but I fully agree with that statement.

It is my belief that folks need at least two ARs/AKs and tens of thousands of rounds.

One in the pipe irritates me and as it's already been said the boating accident garbage.

I think hidden caches away from your residence is wise; what if they raid your shit while you're not home, or while you are moving your family to safety, etc?

I agree with your statement though; it's the tongue-in-cheek-I'm-being-funny-but-really-a-coward statement that is little more than acquiescing to despotism in reality while pretending to rebel.

They find caches from WWII in France all the time - and the subjects there just turn 'em in.

Those who bury en masse will either do the same, or their children or grandchildren will.

Some of us don't have any family.

the ONLY defense I can see for burying your guns...
you still have even more guns.

If "they" come in force and ask nicely, you might be better off handing over most, but keeping a few hidden. That MAY give you the option to regroup with like-minded folks.
But once we have a group of like-minded digging things up, things might get interesting.

not gonna lie, I've got more than enough ammo, ARs, and pistols to stuff some in pvc and call them insurance. but i'd never do such a thing because that would be unsafe and what if somebody bad got it? shameful. never.

Yep, they are coming in full force and surprising you in the middle of the night. No way you are winning that fight, low odds you even get a shot on target.
Better to wait for a better counterattack opportunity when you can get the numbers and odds back in your favor.

Gotta figure that looking at and posting in threads like this is guaranteed to put you at the top of the confiscation list. So you gotta plan accordingly.

The “Lost them in a boating accident” has always seemed like a nicer way to say that someone will not comply with the Kings orders to turn in their weapons, is sounds a lot less aggressive to the sheep and probably less likely to get you “red flagged” than “ If they come for my guns, I’ll shoot the MF’ers in the face”

And why are we concerned with the feelings of sheep?

And I do still have the ability to "loan" the kindle version, i think

I’ll be at another safety meeting at my church next week as we fine tune our safety practices to keep our flock safe.

You know, like Jack Wilson did.

Edit: Or maybe I missed the entire context of this thread.

As you were. Sorry. I’ll close the door quietly behind me.o_O

mid I found a cache of WWII guns on my property I would probably nut my pants. French man, what a bunch of vaginas

Nowhere have I ever said that I expect to win. My only expectation is to die a free man. Better than living on your knees.

Terry
The words of a man at or near retirement. I’m not even finished procreating yet. Some things are more important than suicide by Police.

What you speak of is essentially the sin of pride. I ain’t dying because I think someone on face book or CFF doesn’t think I’m cool enough because I buried them instead of dying for them.

Die for the second amendment, not your guns. Big difference. I’m a strategic, not impulsive.

Checkers vs chess man. But I’ll help your family mop up the blood. And if they’re nice, I’ll dig up some of mine so they can seek vengeance for you and all your now confiscated collection.

Bill, billy, mcBillerson...I think you grossly underestimate some of the folks here...

Will>they< win the fight? Perhaps...but I absolutely guaranty you that many here WILL get a shot on target...or 30.

As far as being on a list...if you aren’t already...do you even 2A bro? They can track online purchases, bank transfers, and all social media. While they don’t know ALL we have, they know we all have something.

And while I may be taken in the middle of the night unawares because I have 4 small children and a wife, it darn well doesn’t mean all these other folks won’t go down in a hail of absolute fire superiority. I’ve been to the range with some of the folks here...to them, they get offended by “Mil spec” because their stuff is far, far better.

And their desire to defend themselves? Well...I wouldn’t want to be the number 1 guy in that stack on their door.

"They" don't care (or worry) about "Us," AR 15's or any other piddly infantry pop guns. Gun grabbers are a red herring distraction. It isn't a gun fight. It's intellectual and spiritual and probably the next lost cause. FDR's New Deal handlers pulled off a brilliant coup d'etat, perfectly legal, without firing a shot. Destroyed the fundamental basis of our governing institutions ... Nobody did a damn thing. The raw deal failed miserably but the alphabet agencies usurped more power from elected officials and spread more free money to farmers and everyone else with political clout. Congress could repeal it all, the FED, everything - but they won't. The gold grab and repricing, counterfeit, fraud, income taxing, and deficit dole outs were too addictive - and still are. It's finally failing with the death of the petro-dollar. The reset won't be pretty but we'll all go along with whatever new scheme is hatched, because it won't look like a bomb in a birthday cake.

The demise of the nation began about 85 years prior when we went from being a federation of united States to a federal bureaucracy called the United States. Note the capitalization difference. The socialist FDR coup was just the turning point on the exponential curve of decline.

So far, we’ve seen some tyrannical states try to deny the people’s 2A rights and the communist Dimorhoids are trying to do so at the national level. Their attempts to come and take them has been masqueraded by these so called “red flag laws”, which really should be a red flag to the free people.

When the day comes that the PTBs decide to start their little raids, the answer can not be to sit, wait, and hope you’re not on the list. No, the fight will need to be brought to them as an offensive that is as swift and brutal as possible.

As for dying by resisting, I’m not scared of dying. I am terrified at the idea of prison. I would rather die. I can also guarantee you I would do my damnedest to take at least one soul kicking and screaming straight to hell with me where I can torment them for all eternity.

Nevermind that it’s pretty durn easy to “see” said burial spots with some basic gear that can be flown on a Phantom drone.
