Wizard drill results pics ( Where’s yours?)

So I decided to revisit this one with a pocket gun, without an optic. The 7 yard line nearly ate my lunch, that was a tougher transition than I gave it credit for, going from the 3-5 out to just a couple more yards. The gun used is a stock Glock 43 with the crappy plastic sights. The only adjusting to the sights was putting a sharpie to the rear to get rid of that silly white blocky U.

Shout out to @BatteryOaksBilly for the gear! I'll get the shirt in the next one, I really like the design.

You are certainly welcome!!!! Love seeing that hat sported around by real shooters!!
How can somebody watch this level of shooting and say that this drill means Nothing. It Only means Nothing if you are to afraid to Try it.
The February Drill cut my throat...If you have trouble just man up like everybody else and try harder. Don't Poo Poo the Wizard, it just makes you look like an excuse maker.

I mailed my broken timer back to CE yesterday. Soon as I get the replacement Ima gonna get back on these drills.
Hope it's okay to drop back and start with the January dotm.
Planning on video too!

Dammmit BOY!!! First one awarded outside the Gates and the first one shown on CFF!! Thanks for the shout out!!!
He kicked some butt today too running a Colt Govt with about 80 brazilian rounds through it.
Okay, maybe 80,000.

Good job, CD! What gun? How carried?

Man, I can't wait to move, and set up The Wizard in me own back yard... last time I tried it at Battery Oaks, all shots counted and the last one was a fraction of a second slow.
G17 carried strong side under shirt. Here's the homemade holster with the G19. Basically a Yaqi slide holster. Gun is between belt and holster.

Beat the wizard for the first time yesterday. First shots fired of the day from my Ruger LC9 S out of right front pocket. Remora holster.View attachment 217154
My apologies to anyone who liked my previous post or are in any way interested . I DID NOT KILL the wizard the other day. Somehow I got it in my head that the top targets are 6 inches . In reviewing wizard pics post i saw where the top targets are actually 4 jnches and the bottom circles 8 inches. Please excuse my senior moment. Now i have to go to the garage and trim a bunch of cardboard circles. I will kill that Wizard .

You might not have killed him, but you pierced the hell out of his ears.

Tried the wizard yesterday and failed. Pulled the 7 yard shot. That 4 inch circle gets pretty small at 21 feet. Tried him a few more times and got him on the 4th attempt but that was after a few hundred rounds. Being cold or warmed up sure makes a substantial difference. One of these days....

Lost today in the rain. Last 2 shots were a 2.61. When I checked the target at the end I thought one shot was out but after looking at the video I think both were in on a 6 inch square on the target I was using. I didn’t even get the first 3 rounds on the video being I thought the last one was out but they were clean in a 3 inch square. Hate to make excuses but man, wearing contacts sure has its benefits over glasses.

Here’s yesterday’s run before cutting hay.
Edited-oops loaded the wrong video. Now it’s fixed.

PM me your mailing address.. congratulations. The first vid qualifies.;)

You are number 8...@Combat Diver has earned his. Just waiting to give him his shirt.

I’ve been hoping to get my wife and the girls to the beach and make a stop by your place to say hey, maybe shoot the wizard with you. But alas, time keeps ticking by. Hopefully one day I’ll make it down that way but until then I’m going to try to stay brushed up on this drill. I can definitely tell a difference when I don’t shoot it for a week or so.

I accidentally posted the wrong video earlier but got it fixed now.

I am satisfied you did it the right way Cold and Concealed. These are the 2 determining factors. 8 out of over 2,200 puts you in some close company. Don't let it swell your head , there are Many on CFF that say it doesn't mean a thing. There are also those that say it is the Gold Standard for your chosen platform and your carry mode. I have noticed the ones that have decided they will never be able to do it are the ones that say it has no relevance.

Congratulations.....don't stop shooting this..Cold and Concealed. It will make you better.

10-4 I appreciate it man. I’m not hitting it 100% of the time but I’d say 80/90%. Always cold and from concealment, just like I carry. A man’s only as good as his word.

stay safe

80-90% is not to be taken lightly... Keep up the good shooting.
