I told Billy yesterday I'd slow way down in my shooting with the G48. I said I'd post the results.
I shot 2 magazines only.

I also shot a few magazines in the p238. And to make me happy I got my hands on a Nighthawk and gave it a go.

I was there a long time and shot real slow.

First target, G48 at the top, Sig at the bottom, going slow, maybe a shot in 4 seconds: 20200309_SLOW, G48 and p238.jpg

20200309_REAL SLOW, g48 and Nighthawk .45.jpg For these at the top of target #2, I slowed way down, maybe a shot every 6 seconds. It was hard to keep the wobble out, but he said go slow. I think I did better.
(There are some shots from the Nighthawk in the top right circle, shot by Devon, because the gun was having issues. I think I outlined which ones were his.) The bottom 4 circles were the .45, just for fun.

So there you go, Billy. I did try. And will keep shooting slow.

I used to play "One shot" with a coworker a while back. Put a dot on the target and each gets one round, closest to the mark wins. We'd play a dollar a hole.
I might have a go at that with one of the 1911s....lol. For sure not with the G48, not yet.
Next time I have a range date, we'll give it a try.

Thanks for giving it a try Millie. Remember what we shoot for....to hit our target...where we Want to hit it. If you will concentrate on this for a while your accuracy will improve. Everyone remember these groups are from 5 yards. Yesterday I shot this gun for her at 7 yards to show her what it was capable of. Entire mag went into a nickel sized hole. This gun will put them where you point it.
One thing I did notice, I don't know who Devon is but if this is an example of His shooting at 5 yards with a Nighthawk...don't look to him for help.

Dude, not everyone can shoot like you! LOL.
He's a range guy who shot the gun because I was having issues with it, even after Rick cleaned it.....probably limp wristing on my part...lol.

Hahahahaha!!!!

Yep, you did! It was awesome to see.

So I need to slow way down, and get to work! It will be way cheaper too, added bonus....lol.

Someone I know preaches shoot as fast as you can shoot accurately... You like most people too often shoot too fast. LMAO. I like the approach you need to learn to walk before you can run. While you were there did Billy tell you that you broke one of my cardinal rules of buying guns?

It’s not just slow, it’s having a process. You should think through the same things as you prepare to release each shot.

if you’re spending time with Devon it better be cause he’s cute, cause he ain’t helping your shooting.

This is our Motto here...Shoot As Fast As You Can...unfortunately most shoot faster than they can.

No Pard...it's One Thing at a Time with Her. Especially after she's had a night out....

An eye exam is in order. :)
I have that problem myself!

Unfortunately I spend a couple weeks a month playing this gun game where you are rewarded in the scoring for doing just that. My accuracy has suffered as a result...that is my story I am sticking to it.

No, he didn't! What did I do? (Or not do, as the case may be.)

He's kinda cute, but nope, I've never seen him shoot before, and he's given me no "intsruction," he just wanted to check the .45 out.

I actually put the gun down and take a few breaths between shots sometimes too to slow down. If you are just standing their holding the gun up long enough you will get some wobble.

If I’m reading those targets right the wee G48 is a good shooter. I ran one at the Buccaneer match Saturday, and I also carry it now.
I don’t shoot it quite as well as a 1911, but it’s a heck of lot lighter and easier to carry.

It's a lot less bulky than the G19. I'm surprised by how much I love the slimmer grip...which doesn't hurt my hand at all! I do like the gun a lot, but it's not a 1911, like you said...lol.

I'll keep working on my slow shooting, hoping to get some accuracy with it, and give it a fair trial. I really do want it to work for me.

If it fits your hand I’d keep running it. I’m not thrilled how I shoot mine, but after a couple of years and thousands of rounds running 1911’s, I need to get back in the grove with striker fire triggers. I put some different sights on mine, and a Vickers slide stop, and I’m hoping to become the “man with one gun” with this gun.

It does feel good in my hand. Not sure what the previous owner did to the trigger, if anything, but it feels less gritty and a lot nicer than the one on the G19, so that may help me a bit. I need a fiber optic front sight in red on there, and I should be good to go! I just have to go slow.

I really wanted to like the G48. I just couldn't do it. I couldn't shoot it as well as a G19 or even a G43.

As for @Millie liking the slim grip, she didn't like the slim grip on my KelTec PF-9. The thing works and is accurate but it ain't made to shoot a lot.

I bought a G34, G17, G19, G48, and G43 in the past three years. The G19 trigger was terrible. It took much work to get it to factory 5lbs. The rest were fine. Who knows why.

I like the 43x/48 but from what I remember of the PF-9...it didn't even have a grip. It just had some awful protrusion that cut right to the nerves in the center of my arm. In no way are the two at all comparable.

No offense to Kel Tec PF-9 lovers of course (you sick disgusting people). ;)
