Hahaha!Youporn man. They have a wonderful selection of midget and donkey porn. It's fascinating.
I spent the morning loading magazinesHanging security cameras. My wife and I now have a new show to watch as all of the neighbors come and go.
Wanted to get this project done before the hungry hordes go out on search of food and TP for their bungholes.
Way ahead of you.I spent the morning loading magazines
Damn Tom, I need you to make me a knife
Damn Tom, I need you to make me a knife
Gnarly blade, @rantingredneck !! Is that etched or redneck damascus?
Oh no!!! You don't get of that easy. You have to give up the secret ingredients in the handle. Mostly cause I really wanna know what it is made with.
It's layered cocobolo wood (both ends) with leather (dark brown layers), vulcanized fiber liner material (red stripes) and zebra wood in the center.
Never had the chance to work with any of the fancy woods. That looks awesome. Maybe one day I will get some and give it a try. What finish did you use on it?
Manscaping.
Believe it or not.... I hand rubbed it with olive oil. My can of Danish oil had dried up in the shop. It'll do for now until I get something more permanent on it. Just finished it last night.
Cocobolo is so naturally oily it doesn't need much really. This is my first experience with zebra wood though.
Did I read somewhere that some of the exotic woods are toxic? Do you have to use any special precautions when working with them?
Cocobolo is one of them. It CAN make some people react like poison ivy. It's never bothered me in that way. I wear a respirator when working with any wood though. Some folks have to wear gloves and such when sanding it and handling it before finish. Doesn't bother me. And I'm really allergic to poison ivy....
This stick of cocobolo has been kicking around my shop for a decade or so. I've cut a piece off here and a piece off there as I needed it. It's dryer now for sure than when I first got it, but when I was drilling the holes for the tang oil was flowing up out of them and burning off from the friction of the drill bit.
This is almost as if I wrote it about myself.I work from home. I leave my house once or twice a week to go out to dinner or go shooting. I have no travel plans.
I donāt go to sports, conferences, concerts, bars, meetings...
To look at my life, the only way to spot a difference would be that Iām not going out to eat.
If they send me home, which I doubt happens, I'll load 9mm til I'm out of brass. Probably cast something. Finish the demo of the master bath. And probably buy more junk than usual online. In addition to the normal goings on.
But then there's this:
Im playing records.
Though I thought it might be a good time to 'invest' in a video game for up to 40 bucks.
Ive done this before when off work for a while. For under 40 dollars I can get 15+ hours of entertainment, if not more (ie: Far Cry 4 I have 150 hours over the course of years of playing). Not a bad 'investment' for my time and to keep me busy
