For instance Blazer Brass 9mm couple days ago was $189 for 1,000 rds. Today it's $250 at the same place. Sad.... I'm sure it's going up on everything. This BS hype, election year, etc.

I hope it doesn't stay this way. This is at a VERY popular local ammo supplier many of us use. The 9mm is slowly coming back in stock over the last hour or so from being all but gone yesterday. Tons in stock a couple days ago. All significantly increased. I have a large supply on hand of everything I shoot. I shoot regularly so I always buy more than I shoot. Plus I reload. Sad to see prices jump this much at once though due to bs media induced hype and fear mongering. The election isn't even close yet, so imagine what that will bring us as well.
Its supply and demand being driven by idots who think that they are going to shoot their way out of this pandemic. If you shoot on a regular basis then you buy ammo or reloading components on a regular basis. Some of us do both to cover all the basis.
The worst part about these type of panic buying is that it sets a new higher threshold of what people are willing to pay for ammo. Immediately after the panic is over ammo will be priced higher because people were willing to pay it. It artificially inflates the market.
Yeah people are paying it for sure. Looks like all the Blazer brass is gone now. I was looking at the 115gr when I posted this. Something is worth whatever a person will pay for it. I won't pay that much though.
It is unfortunate to see Outdoor Limited jacking their price overnight. The 147gr Blaser is already gone at $245. To be fair to them I do not think they were selling 147Gr Blazer at $189. I think that was 115Gr or 124GR pricing.

Just like gas stations. You need to sell at your replacement costs to keep the cash flow happy. Simple economics.
I doubt their cost went up overnight. More than likely their flow of new product has been slowed so they need revenue now to cover the time when they won't have inventory. It will be interesting to see how long they leave their prices high.

It would be years, if I live that long, before this kinda thing would ever affect me. Really, at this point after all we've been through in the last 10 years if you aren't prepared for this kinda thing....shame on You!!!
I don’t fault Outdoor Limited. If their supplier is out then the only thing keeping the doors open is an increase in cost. They still have fixed and variable cost of doing business. If their supply is down 50% they will have to double their sell price. But if they make record sales in two weeks and their cost remains the same then shame on them. I’m not inside the ammo business’s financials so I don’t have the answer. All I do know is Cheaper Than Dirt is for certain a customer gouging piece of dung. This is not their first rodeo of taking advantage of customers by huge amounts.OL had everything out last night like you said except that already high priced 500rd Precision One stuff. Started coming back on stock this afternoon right before I posted at much higher prices. May be a few reasons. Could be a price jump from their supplier, could be them attempting toslow down orders due to high demand. They have had a notice on their site a week or so now about being slammed over there. I buy 95% of my factory ammo from them. Easily $4500 worth in the last year. Not mad that they raised prices, just surprised at the amount it jumped as they have always been cheaper than everybody else by far! Now they are around small gun shop prices. I thought maybe Bloomberg got elected over night and placed a sin tax on ammo. Lol If they did it for no reason other than just seeking profit during high stress times, then I'm disappointed. I will continue to buy from them, just not near as much until prices drop. Def not paying $0.25 per round for "cheap" 9mm FMJ. Even the 9mm steel case cheap ammo is now $200 per thousand as opposed to around $140 or so yesterday.

I have been panic buying since the last ammo shortage. I promised myself that I would not get caught in that situation again.
Unless we have a war on my street, I should be good. Well for a little while.
Might need to reload some more tonight, can not do anything else.

Well...not with that attitude you cant...

I restocked also. And restocked, and restocked, and restocked, and restocked, never shot a round for over a year and a half so I could restock SGAmmo.I restocked my ammunition last month because I was running low... boy I am glad I did now.
wait until bread is $20 a loaf, it'll make ammo seem cheapWow, this morning 1000 rds of S&B 9mm is $300. That was the cheap brass case 9mm a few days ago around $8 per box of 50. Almost comical to watch at this point.
Yeah, I haven't tried yet, so I don't know if I can or not!"You cant shoot your way out of a pandemic"
