Something went down at FG&G

I live about two miles from there and pass it 2-3 times a day. It has been packed everyday.

Edit: My assumption was wrong. What went down at FG&G today had more to do with stupid than criminal on the part of the perps, but Kudos to the fine folks at the gun shop for keeping things cool and no one got hurt.

Ahhh ... pull crap at a gun shop? That boy is sharp as a bowling ball ... Clay’s people carry and know how to shoot!

On the serious side ... sounds more like a shoplifting crew that got busted, one guy grabs something and casually walks out while the others distract the store’s people.

ETA: if they tried to lift a firearm, last time last time I remember hearing it was a felony no matter the value of the firearm. Also if the person(s) have a previous record, felony especially, there’s another charge. If it was the lifting of a firearm wonder what the Wake DA and Courts will let them pleas down to?

Makes sense.

Pallets of ammo not far from the door, although I think they have had someone working the door now that it’s as busy as it has been.

H20 is closed indefinitely, but once I find out what happened up there you know we’ll have a stage for it.

Because of the virus crap or something else?

I'll admit I didn't even check to see if the USPSA match was on for today. The wife wouldn't have let me go in any case.

As for FG&G, nobody hurt.

And so it begins in the burbs. If this goes on long enough people are going to try crazy stuff. And dangerous stuff. PD and ambulance services really don’t need the extra work, but they’ll probably get it anyway.

For the record, once IDPA resumes at H20 there will be a stage. I’m working on it as we speak.

edit: Who am I kidding. Nobody got shot.

At the signal, the shooter must snatch their unloaded handgun off the barrel and run to position A, while all other members of the squad attempt to tackle the shooter. If the shooter gets to A before being tackled.... ok well maybe not such a fun stage.

Sounds like a perfect stage for me! I never hit hit the targets anyway so I can have a "clean" run

We could do that in bay 3. Somebody shoveled out 8 years worth of AR brass last week so it won’t hurt so bad when you hit the ground

A running thief stage? o_O

First time gun buyer playing with their new toy in the parking lot. FG&G is about 1.5 miles from my house.

Having been one of three victims of a firearm theft by a FOURTH TIME FELON who had been out of prison for less than 6 months and was already on bond for another felony, I can tell you not to expect much from the Wake DA. Did I mention he wasn't even 21 yet? And that he was nabbed less than a month later stealing another gun?

They are closed on Sunday’s right? Robbery or coincidence. Quiet lot for a deal gone bad on a Sunday.
Open 11-5 on Sundays

Is that new? Thought they were closed Sunday’s. That used to save me some money.
I bought a pistol a year ago on a Sunday there. I know this because I was headed to a church event in about an hour when I got a text that the Glock I was looking for was in stock, and I drove down and bought it. I walked in the house, and it’s the first time the boss said, “DID YOU BUY A GUN?” To which I replied, “LOOK, I BOUGHT YOU A GLOCK!!”

Got a big eyeroll on that one.

Thank God I didn’t know all this. I’ve almost impulse bought a few guns on a Sunday but thought they were closed. Ignorance is bliss I guess. Although I probably bought them Monday anyway.

Nothing would surprise me from the DA’s in our larger metropolitan areas ... Raleigh/Wake, Orange/Commie Hill, Durham, Charlotte/Meck, etc ... it makes them more appealing to the progressive police liberal whiners and a lower slam dunk plea means higher conviction rate both mean they can step up in to the next political level easier if they want.

Majicmike and Fieldgrade when the restaurants open back up we need to get together for breakfast since we are all closeby......or go get a few beers somewhere locally.

yes, and yes
My vote is Red Barn for morning chow, and Abbey Rd for beverages since they have my favorite suds on tap.
As long as @fieldgrade pays,,,, I’m in

and no.

LOL

Mine tend to go more like "Oh, is that for me?"

Which is fine...just means I get to go out and buy another!

On a side note, can’t believe anyone could find a parking spot. They have been lined up on the side road last few days.
Dang. Last time I was in there was on the 7th, picking up an M&P 2.0 Compact in 9mm off that last sale. I can't believe that was "only" two weeks ago this past Saturday. It seemed fairly normal then.

They are lined up on the side of the road as we speak. I just drove by there.

Remember back in the 2012 panic at their old store on S. Main? Clay posted on Facebook what little they’d have available the coming morning and that little lot would still be full with overflow into the dirt lot just north of them. Clay went above and looks like he’s at it again ... he’s started his Facebook updates again. Clay and crew are ones I believe when they say they’re doing the best they can ...

Well, where else are folks going to go? Everything's done shut down :D

(If I didn't have to work, I'd be in there more often too  )

I do remember that. I used to go to his location prior to that one also, but I didn't experience frenzies at it.
