...all of the folks that are overrunning the local Fun Shops start unloading the stuff they couldn't really afford to buy?

I'll be keeping my eye out for a 10mm pistol and killer deals on carry guns and maybe an HD shotgun or 2.

Somewhat related, I was betting that all the pawn shops have been cleaned out of the zillions of pump 12 gauges they had... and that they're probably going to get them all back when this is over. How many times do they get to sell the exact same gun?

When things calm down and that government tit runs out, they’ll be looking to clear those credit card balances. That’s when the good deals will start to pop up.

My grandfather used to say that prostitution was the ideal business... “You have it, you sell it; you still have it”.

He obviously never spent time with a pawn broker. :D

I myself am contemplating a very modest selling binge pretty soon. :)

Make sure it's one I want so you can trade it to me.....

I liked that XD(m) as that's what I compete with and carry. But, I want one that is RMR capable out of the box.

I don't know for sure that it's going to happen. I remember thinking the same thing after 2012, and the flood of cheap sell-offs never materialized. I think most people will just keep what they bought rather than sell it when the credit card bill comes.

I will try to get a better ammo stock-up going, but I have limited $ anyway, so I can't get too crazy....

Even if there was plenty of ammo to be had right now, I couldn't buy much....but I did get 200 more rounds of 9mm at the range today! LOL.

PS: I won't be buying any guns this year....but I may trade some!

I don’t think the deals will be coming from individuals. I think those people will believe the guns/ammo are worth the inflated prices they paid. Or you’ll get people that think it’s worthwhile to hold onto until the next scare.

I’m waiting for dealers to be heavy on inventory and there to be a lull in demand, and begin running some sales.

So @Tim the man with one gun phase is over?

I >guess< I kind am...I have a few things I want...and even a few deals that have cycled through here over the past two weeks but I have had to pass on because I am stuck at home.

I am one of those that learned after Sandyhook that getting ready for the rain is a lot easier than trying to find a dry spot in the downpour. So when it stops raining Ill go back to buying ammo at prices I feel are good, lowers for good deals, and other accessories for what I feel are ok.

I'm watching for AR pistols in 223 & 9mm.
Also always interested in high end 1911's (I doubt many panic buyers bought Wilson, Nighthawk, Republic Forge...)

Not sure what the panic buyers will be selling ... entry level AR’s, Maverick 88’s, etc ... I’ll pass. Bulk ammo, sure if the price is right. But I am not real sure the things that really interest me now are what they’ll be selling ... and unless the stuff is 30¢-40¢ on the dollar ... meh.

No big gun plans. Might grab a Grendel AR at some point if things work out. Also might end up being some really good deals on a new truck if this doesn’t totally kill the economy and my job.

Chevy is offering no payments for 120 days if you buy new. Just spoke to a salesman yesterday, but it'll be 2 more years before.my wife's car is paid for, so going to wait this one out.

Uh, thank you, but no. :p

Consumer Reports and my GM truck building brother both advise me against that course of action. Kinda sad.

There are deals out there now. I've bought 4 rifles and a pistol in the last week. CHEAP. People look to offload the older military stuff to get an AR/AK or that shiny new Glock.
I did that back in 2012 and picked up some nice wood and blued stuff in trade ... a desperate guy swapped a pre-64 Model 94 for an AR I had built (good parts and nice AR) straight swap ... he still has and likes it and I had one less AR to dust. Since last week I’ve been asked a couple times if I had anything I’d sell now ... I offered only a couple things at terrible prices just to send them on their way. One person called yesterday after the Wake Sheriff story hit and made a counter offer but I stuck to my ridiculous price.

I would expect a lot of ads that say "Only trying to get out what I paid" etc....Be a couple years before they truth up with themselves and admit they way overpaid.
