Who else is planning a buying binge when...

...all of the folks that are overrunning the local Fun Shops start unloading the stuff they couldn't really afford to buy?

I'll be keeping my eye out for a 10mm pistol and killer deals on carry guns and maybe an HD shotgun or 2.
Highly doubt a granola cruncher Berkin sandal man bun person would buy a 10 mm

I'm anticipating a sell off of many things as people struggle with the economy. I feel a little like a vulture.

Ive been on a year long buying binge after selling a home last year, making a crapload of money and picking up a new job in a place I like where I get massive quarterly bonus's. I finally got my safe refilled after nearly taking a job in the PRK and selling my black gun stuff in anticipation of that near fatal mistake . Got new and better stuff, Got shelves full of ammo all in time for the panic. Dont need anything else but a few tax stamps. Feelin' good.

Right now, I'm trying to sell an old DPMS AR-15. I have it on Armslist for an absurdly high price. I was too ashamed to put it on here for that much. I offered 200 rounds of ammo to go with it. That should get some attention from someone who didn't plan ahead.

I’ve been on a binge for about 2 months. Picked up some good deals and got stocked on ammo and components.

I got laid off today, I won't be buying squat until I'm gainfully employed and back on my feet.

A guy I do work for told me a few days ago that he bought his first gun...
A Ruger Precision in 6.5 creedmore "because that's all they had left"
He didn't buy any optic.
I kinda want the STHTF just to see him defend his family with a sightless 800yard rifle!

I'm going back and finding his salesman and HIRE HIM!!!! That's a salesman!

Not me. I have a feeling the prices on older pinned and recessed S&W revolvers won't be going down after all this is over. If they do, I might pick up a couple more.

Dang! I'm really sorry to hear that. I have several friends in the same situation. Don't know if you're a religious man or not but I'll keep you in my prayers just the same.

Let him know I'll make him a even trade for a new in box bushmaster AR-15 patrolman.

Yep, I'm serious. I'll even throw in 150 rounds of XM855 ammo.

I was going to say, trade him something. The AR might be attractive to him right now. Or maybe he'd be happy with a shotgun. :D

Deals or no, I'm not buying anything that's not land.
I have a distinct feeling real estate is going to take a fairly hard hit and there will be some deals ... but Im guessing it will be more houses and commercial property than acreage ... so be ready to pounce.

You gotta figure that a lot of the new owners out of this are going to dump them to LGS & Pawn Shops or to their dark sheep Uncle Bob. Most of them didn’t know how to go about buying a firearm so it follows that they won’t know how to get rid of one on the private market. In other words, I don’t expect many to make the classifieds here.

There are deals out there now. I've bought 4 rifles and a pistol in the last week. CHEAP. People look to offload the older military stuff to get an AR/AK or that shiny new Glock.
I have myself. One of my best buddies owns several Pawn Shops and I've been watching what is coming and going. What is selling is the cheaper guns. Mostly shotguns and semi autos that are in the $350-500 range. What is being sold cheap is higher end rifles and revolvers. Hunting season is over and people are selling rifles cheap to buy a handgun. Owners of high end revolvers are doing the same. I've made some offers on guns listed in classifieds and Armslist that I was surprised that were accepted. I saw a guy yesterday trade in a Glock 17 for ammo!

You keep your spirits up because it will get better. While you are home you will get stimulus money later in April to stay above water. Some will make more than their check. One thing I suggest is to look for ways to improve your employment chances by studying something you are interested in like a trade (mechanic, electrical, etc..) There are tons of YouTube instruction videos to watch. Best Regards, Ken

That's exactly where I'm at, waiting on some of these J-hooks to off load some mountain land or possibly grab a local rental or two. Gotta get started at some point.

Nothing these late to the game people are buying would interest me. Mostly I have heard these desperate buyers are getting hunting type guns and low end handguns like Taurus, Rock Island, Keltec, etc..

I don’t envision mass sell off after Chinese Flu ramps down. Just the usual people who end up in pawn shops repetitively.

Not unless there are awesome deals on some ammo, but I doubt it.

Yeah, these days I don’t see much in the way of discounts on stuff I want. Well...never did, really :)

My grandfather used to say that prostitution was the ideal business... “You have it, you sell it; you still have it”.

He obviously never spent time with a pawn broker. :D

I’m not buying anything until this mess is behind us. I’m waiting for my pink slip about any day now, though I am the highest producer and revenue/profit driver of anyone on my global team so hoping my name is way down the list. Clients are taking a beating right now and already a few of my team let go. So I’ll be holding off on any non-essential.

This affects other firearms as well. When this is over, gun forums will be flooded. Same thing happens after every huge panic The difference between arfcom classifieds listings and prices between now and post-panic will be significant.
