How are you killing your quarantine?

I started putting together a coop after procrastinating forever. Daughter and her BF moved the dog kennel/chicken yard to the backyard for me.
Only starting out with 2-3 hens first.

Yesterday we cut down two pine trees right beside my house. Like within 12’. Was a job. Burned them too. One was dead and while I was making the back cut my neighbor was on the tractor pulling on it with a rope. The tree went to fall so I got out of the way. The whole root ball case up with it. It was definitely time for it to come down before it fell on my house.

Went fishing on Saturday with the 2 youngest boys. They each caught bream, I caught a couple crappie. Last night we all went to Lexington Skate park since it's still open, the oldest and 3rd skate boarded while the 2nd rode his bike. I told the little kids that the playground was closed and we were just going to have to play in the field the second we got out of the van they tore the caution tape off the playground and were to far gone for me to stop it. There were probably 40 people at the skate park side and at 845 the cops showed up and made sure everyone left, I'm guessing since Lexington has implemented a curfew.

My plant is shut down but I’m told I’m essential so I have to keep going in but due to the current situation I’m working at 50% salary. Fun times.

Still working. Finally getting dug out from under my Etsy orders too. Need to get a bunch of stuff out of here this week. Got some work done in the garden too which was nice. Prepped a raised bed and filled the new one. Put another in place.

Im getting a lot of little projects going
My productivity level is way up!

I'm technically working....

But trying to get a few things done during " lunch" and break time ...

In our court yard they brick edged some of the concrete way back , but left a section with the edge just p.t. Wood.
So, way back the mill by the river burned and they pushed it into the river. A bazillion bricks are down there.

I'm able to get 9 at a time with my bucket back pack.

So I've been pulling out the wood, tamping rocks in and dry setting with motartered ends to complete the look.

The original side.

And what I've been doing.

I've also been cutting down an oak cant from a tree out of the daughters house a couple years ago.
All different sizes from cutting around the cracks and checks.

I have started reading the free Kindle books that I accumulated over the past 3 years or so. The problem is that authors will usually offer the first book in a series for free, so if you get hooked on the story you will have to pay for the next several installments.

Also, in spite of the governor's executive order, and the fact that it is not on the list of essential businesses and operations, my grass refuses to stop growing.

Home for a few days so decided to pitch in on the home schooling for the 17 year old.

I think she passed today's "What do we prefer to eat?" test with flying colors.
How are y'all planning to have them? My granddaddy used to BBQ 'em - yum.

Not doing much of anything really... A lot of Netflix and chilling, cooking, eating, and cleaning up... Colleen working from home too, there's not much I can do here. She's on the phone all day in meetings. So, I have to keep it down for the most part.

May have mentioned before, but today I went and volunteered at work delivering food to students
Im doing it as much as I can, I love it and it helps people

We killed 6 of the older ones today. They are all probably on the tougher side so we are gonna can them. After that, they'll probably be used for pot pies and stuff like that.

Yum, rabbit pot pie...I can dig it.

So I designed those gun shirts a few years back and have a TON of them sitting around here.
It was a mess, not super organized and took up a LOT of room on a large storage rack I have.

So Tuesday I went through them all, organizing by color and logo/style. I condensed and put it all on a smaller shelf, it's quite tidy now!

Then I started putting my other stuff on the large rack that the shirts used to reside on.
Ive spent some time cleaning and organizing and it's been really nice
I need another shirt. What sizes do you have left?

Uggh...

About halfway through, I realized this wasn’t going to end well. One piece is missing, and it was obvious it wasn’t there when I went looking for it...because it was red with most of “George” on it in white letters.

Considering making one out of a piece of cardboard box.

20200330_174656.jpg We are working half time where I'm at. It has given me time to catch up on some ongoing projects.

I had to get rough with this old gal. She was given to me in 5 pieces. Had to get her all stiched back together. Now we're in the short rows to get her making racket again.
