Cooper gonna shut it down

It's not fearing each other it's about public safety.

Ok there's a little barrier so people cant get spittle all over the employees...cool, I got no issue with that at all

Oh, it’s fear. Look in people’s eyes. You should see some people on the street or at the store. They’ll give you a 20’ buffer zone if they can. The media has everyone so hyped up that we’re all going to be on ventilators this month that people are practically shitting their pants. I don’t want this even if it is just the flu, but I’m not going to lose sleep and act a fool all day long.

They have those barriers in Aldi Denver as well.
My wife works for a local bank. They had closed the lobby and were doing drive-through only to protect employees and customers for the last couple weeks. As of yesterday, that changed. They opened up the lobby again and have portable plexi shields so they can be moved. My wife works in customer service in a small office. She's seen all kinds of people come in to that bank. Especially on the 3rd of every month when a lot of SS checks are cashed. Some people will come in to cash them sick or not. Nobody was happy about it to say the least. All pertinent business could be done as it was. It was working out with minimal complaints from a few customers. No reason to open up the employees or customers to the risk of infection. My wife was not comfortable with it. She is taking a 30 day leave of absence. Hopefully, by then, there will be a better handle on this.

those same scared people were around before all of this.

The shields are no different than sneeze guards at the buffet. As damn_yankee points out, when you deal with the public, you're exposed to all sorts if hygiene issues. In some ways I see the current events as a correction in the way we've been doing things.

Heard today, they're expecting Mecklenburg to skyrocket in a couple of weeks. Hospice is pulling back some from my mother-in-law's visits.

after watching Roy Cooper on Sprectum News last night, I'm pretty sure his human skin is about to slough off and expose his reptillian true self. Cold beady eyes and wax lips are giving it away. V FOR VICTORY!

Checking out at Lowes and the lady behind the plexiglass is older and deafer than I am.
You shoulda seen us-
"Do you have a PO number?"
Yes. 7276
"Eleven knew plenty sticks?"
No..7276.
"What?"
What?
o_O
Take a Sharpie from off the shelf and write it on the plexiglass...real big like.

Yeah, that shuttle they send back and fourth that EVRYBODY puts their hands on. That's good times.

The Wally World pharmacy in Mocksville has the sneeze guards up AND plastic chains to keep you from putting your hands all over the counter. Now I've got to gingerly reach over that plastic infection coated chain to reach the infection coated card machine.

Oh yeah?
I figured they'd close at 6, so I was close by and googled the hours and still said 8:30, was surprised

Home Depot has updated their search engine crawler hours (noticed as early as last week). Lowe’s probably hasn’t yet, would call and confirm if planning to head later

Amen. Low gas prices and fewer morons on the road has made the commute a pleasure. I rarely have to even take off cruise control.

And have you noticed the lack of contrails in the sky? I was sitting on the porch around sunset sipping on a little whiskey and it was so nice looking the clear blue sky without all of those ugly long clouds of man-made crap. :)

Just wondering, when do ya think a state or national curfew will go in place. I think it’s will be pretty soon.

i really want to the the stats on this. Most states don’t even know how many people have disease because of botched testing protocols, much less the specific amount of people Contracting the disease by time of day.

mid theres hard data that shows x amount of people contracting in even, great let’s have a Conversation, but I suspect they don’t know squat and it’s just more big government alarmist BS.

Will that barrier stay up for ever in hopes of public safety? If not, why not?

The jets that have been flying over my house recently are too low to leave contrails.

I dont think so.
When they get a handle on this, and I dont think it'll be anytime soon before it's really 'under control,' we'll view it like we do the flu now.
But right now it's not like the flu. We have little to combat it and dont fully understand it yet.
We're dealing with a global pandemic. So when people get all huffy puffy about a plexi barrier or the gov asking for a Shelter in Order place (which is NOT being enforced and we all know it) I get it, I get them trying to ask folks to be responsible in these trying times.

Folks bashing Coop on this one, and while I dont like the guy all that much, I dont see a big deal. When the national guard is patrolling the streets I'll have an issue. But as it is now, no big deal. There is very little difference now than there was 10 days ago with this SiP EO.
Now what I DONT agree with is the forced closing of some 'non essential' businesses, that'll hurt the economy for a long time.

I live under the approach path to clt and that haven't slowed one bit.

I don’t see a national one ... Trump will try and get the Governors to do it ... but there is a numerical point someone has in mind be it an occupancy level of hospitals, rate of increase in positive tests or such.

For just guessing ... Cooper next Friday April 10th will announce it will start the following Monday April 13th???

CHEMtrails bro! CHEMtrails!

LOL, that thought did cross my mind. I can usually sit on my deck and watch them flying around up there. I always assumed they military. Another view shows me the approach I believe to CLT. Next to nothing.

It wouldn’t surprise me if he did it as early as next week. Coop that is.

Went out yesterday. I have some gloves and masks from when Mrs. did dialysis at home. I used them. Be careful and don't allow them to give a false sense of security.

I've been using the gloves to clean guns and the masks when I dremel the dogs nails. I never thought it would come to this.

My bad about those. Just doing my essential employee job. I’m trying for a LOA though.

If they do they better get over the silly notion that they are single use for a while. I think that might be a bigger problem than anyone is really considering. Gloves are to protect both parties. In this instance in particular, the mask is to protect the person wearing it only. Most places are questioning and or taking temps to control employee spread. So if the mask is for your protection, sterility isn't the issue it normally is. And changing them between patients no longer makes sense. But hey, I'm sure there is a Gov regulation out there that mandates it. Whether it makes sense in this situation or not.

Seems like a UVC machine could be used to easily sterilize masks for reuse... Same for common items like keys, wallet, cash, etc...

That's because the chemtrails have already done their job of spreading the Coronavirus.

Duh!

I'm finally going to have to stay off of social media. The sheer number of terrified citizens screaming to have the .gov come and take all of their rights away in the name of "safety" is really disgusting. So much panic and so much stupid.

Edit: to add I hope that I am wrong, but all of these out of work people and all of this media driven panic is going to lead to some very bad JuJu in the weeks to come if they don't let up with it soon and put people back to work.

I wish my mom would get off social media, unplugged the tv and internet. Part of a text conversation tonight :(

My mom is exactly the same way. She was all freaked out on the phone. I asked her "do you know anyone personally that has it? How about any of your friends, Do they know anyone that has it?" Her answer like mine was "no". That calmed her down a bit. But at 80 yrs old she still believes EVERYTHING that the news tells her.

Well, to be fair, she came from a time when journalists had integrity.

I cannot find adequate words to express my appreciation to RCWA Directors for protecting me and others from their perception of members' lack of responsibility (and the irresponsible people in stores in Salisbury).

Simply closing RCWA would have been unpleasant, but potentially understandable. What is totally unacceptable is the sheer arrogance of the pompous martinets on the Board lecturing about being forced to close RCWA because members are irresponsible.

I just sent them an email, for what ever good it will do. I was there this last Sunday. The ranges were not that crowded. Now, I can see cancelling any meets/matches. But what I did see was the general public clusterfu#$ing on the skeet range. How bout not letting the NON-MEMBER public in for a while. I need range time and I need some fishing time!!!!

To be fair, the bus driver posted a video about 2 weeks ago about a passenger coughing around him and passengers, but not bothering to cover her mouth. His video was a plea for people to wash their hands, cover their coughs, and try to prevent spread...
Then he caught it and died. People aren't saying SHE gave it to him, but there are suspicions.

It happened up in Detroit, and I expect DDOT drivers will be considering going on strike soon. They've had years of being harassed, spit on, robbed, and attacked.

And to be fair, without a coroners report, we have no clue what killed him. Could have been heart attack, brain aneurism, who knows what. And some one coughs this time of year could be from a myriad of reasons. Just because the rona is constantly pushed in the media doesnt mean everyone is passing it along.

I wonder when they are going to reduce the 2020 dues by the number of months the club is closed?
