Yep!

I go to Lowe’s or anywhere else that’s open just to walk around and window lick, I mean shop.

Get busy living or get busy dying.

I was in Home Depot and Lowe's today. HD is restricting what entrances to use and counting how many are in the building. Lowe's was open at all entrances but had folks with tablets counting.

What I find amusing is the number of folks wandering around with masks on but have them pulled down past the nose. Like that's going to do anything.

I saw a woman who had cut a cigarette hole in her mask today.

They don't do anything anyway unless you are sick.

Instead of driving a car down to protest, go open your business and get with it while thumbing your nose to the governor. That would be a much stronger form of protest

Yep. Get on with business. Engage a lawyer to intercept retirement insuring "law enforcement" personnel. At some point ..... someone will get pissed enough to insure their right to commerce by force. It is not right or American to let some businesses to prosper while committing others to bankruptcy. This is the government picking winners over losers at its most basic. That certainly is no Murica......

And don't get me started on little mayors exerting power where they had none before. Then you have governors all the sudden becoming freaking overlords.

Do I want folks to get sick? No. Do I want the WHOLE economy run into the ditch on false models of disease spreading? No.

Wash your hands and do the best you can.

Maybe businesses need to hire "security" teams to make sure everyone who comes to their business maintains social distancing and PPE requirements (ie keeping LEO out)...

IMHO.... If we don't get back to work and business as normal the economy is going to be so deep in the ditch that we can't get it back on track. Once that position is reached the stock market will fall into the abyss and then everything will be lost and we will be helpless to do much of anything. But WAIT, that's exactly what the Dems want!!

Yeah, most masks won’t protect you from the airborne virus, but what they do, if worn correctly, is prevent people from touching their mouth and nose. As mentioned a few times many people aren’t using them correctly and messing with them a lot, pulling them down and so forth. But they can be a good reminder to not pick your nose, rub your eyes, or wipe your mouth.

Maybe our HDs are different. but there are only 3 entrances - one in garden, the main entrance, and the exit (which some folks will still come in to)
My Lowes here in WS are the same way.
Im not seeing a difference between the two stores except the Lowes has put up plexi barriers

Guys, I need a haircut
My favorite coffee shop is closing up for good (they said they struggled when business 40 was closed for over a year and that this was just too much now)
I dont see a HUGE difference in my life, but there are things
And I have it lucky.
Lets open back up, get folks working again

Hey man you can’t try and quote BB, edit it, then post a gif to try and entice him then act innocent WHEN he responds.
You’re an adult. This is not the preschool playground.

Not sure what you mean...I didn't try to quote him, I actually quoted him...Im proud of him for at least feigning IMHO...

If it matters I agree 100%. I know folks that won't come back from this, at Least for a very long time!!!

My HD has one in and one out for main and garden areas. We use an app to keep track of customers as they enter and leave to stay compliant with Gov. Cooper directive.

Lowes and HD by the mall in Winston were the ones doing this. There was an employee with a tablet at each entrance to Lowes. Same with HD across the street but at HD, only the front entrance was open. As a contractor, I usually use the Pro entrance since it's closest to what I'm after.

Yes Lowes does have those silly plexy barriers but the cashier I had to interact with was wearing gloves. I watched her handle the previous 3 people in line and she never removed her gloves. If they were serious about combating the spread of the "plague", she's change after each transaction rather than spread contagion to from customer to customer. No telling how many cards and cash she'd handled with those same gloves on.

Yeah but I'm pretty sure that's been proven to be the opposite effect. People who wear masks tend to mess with them and touch their face more. Also not covering your eyes people will still rub them and that's one of the major ways of catching this virus.

Literally the only thing that masks do is contain coughs of sick people. If they wear the ones that have little valves on it they don't even do that...

So, as I said...when people don't use them properly they do nothing.

In solidarity with the sentiments expressed here, I am planning to go out this evening, drive around Raleigh maskless, and transfer a firearm in a private sale.

But it looks like they're doing something,

Perception > Reality for most people.

As always, should you or any of your IM force be caught or killed, the secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. Good luck JT!

No doubt, the placebo effect is strong for some people. I have worn one a few times when I had to go around, and it made me more cognizant of messing with my face. So, for me it helped. For others possibly not.

It's funny how WRAL got a DR. From the Duke Fuqua business school to react to the protest. So are they quoting an MD or business PhD?

Probably one their go to hacks that loves to see his name in print. Maybe the protesters should be at his home tomorrow. Use the tactics of the left.

I'll be damn, it is there. After all these years I never noticed

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances unless there is a virus

OH dude, I totally didnt think about the pro entrance, youre right!

I posted in another thread (or, hell, maybe it was here) that I know of one business already that has announced they are done. At least in their current way. Shame.
I know of another coffee place (the owner is a big gun guy, some ofyall probably met him) that pretty much said if it goes much longer he'll have to hang it up.

It sucks.

It's worse than that Smith Phillips in Winston has closed their place and it's delivery only. You can't even pickup at the gate

Well, people were protesting downtown Raleigh today for the #reopenRaleigh.
Cops showed up in riot gear and “dispersed” the crowd.
Then informed the public via Twitter that protesting is “a non essential activity”.

Wonder how it would have went down if they all had AR15’s ?

So, constitutionally protected rights have now become non essential?

Only because we have allowed it

Exactly what I was thinking... Coming soon soon if they keep it up...
