Trying to decide on my next can.

So far: Optimus, Oculus, and Nomad (in jail)

Next on the list is a 45 can, it will primarily be ran on pistols ( till I get around building a 45 AR).

So the short list:
Dead Air Ghost M
Rugged Obsidian
Griffin Rev

What others should I consider?

So, here’s the thing-
A lot of people will tell you “.45 is the best to suppress because standard rounds are subsonic”

this is old thinking, and no matter what, you will ALWAYS have a .50 hole going through your suppressor, so even the best will be inefficient.

also look at adding an ablative like “Dog Slobber,” which is designed for suppressor use, and will give you a signature of 2-5 dB less, which is huge.

personally, and prof the best .45 can I have seen that is still in production is the Osprey,

about 15-20 years ago, AWC suppressor company made a 45 can (can’t remember the name, Nexus II, or Abraxus) that was decent, but you could manually disable the Linear Inertial Decoupler (Nielson Device) and make the can single action on a semi automatic pistol. It was VERY QUIET.

I have all of the ones you mentioned above.
Rugged Obsidian gets my vote. Please let me know if you need pics of any.

I don’t care much for the modularity some of the ones you listed offer...

So in addition to an Osprey 45, I’d looked at the redesigned Octane with its lower price point.

And an Octane 45 is $150-$300 less than any of those, user-serviceable (unlike the Omega 45K) and doesn’t have the unnecessary (for a dedicated PCC build) modularity of the other two.

I own an original Octane 45 and if I had it to do over again I would get the Omega 9k (4.7in) or Omega 45k (6.36"). The Omega series didn't exist when I bought mine in 2013. Yes the Octane is user serviceable and only $500 but it's still 8.7" long. after using the Octane 45 I've come to realize that the shorter the can the better on pistols. YMMV

I have experience with only one 45 can, so take it for what it is worth compared to the high rollers like @BigWaylon. ;)

I have a Revolution 45 on an FNX 45 Taxtical. I have never run it wet and it has given excellent performance. Way quieter than I was expecting for a 45 can. I’ve run it only in its full length form. Never tried it it in its K length.
