Was in Avon last week. Weather was nice Sunday the 17th and I surf fished, that was the only nice weather day all week.

I caught this mild burn. No big deal, right?

Ouch, yes, you need to see someone.

Next time don’t wear sandals outside with sunscreen if you’re not used to it. I have brown patches and white lines on my feet that look just like that from years of exposure.

Been there a few times before..its gonna be a while before you can get a shoe on.

First time I nuked my feet like that, I had to wear flip flops to work for a while..everyone called me hot foot and laughed. Buncha a holes they were.

Feel better dude..take er easy on them dawgs.

I’ve had mine burned as bad in pic 3 but you have went far beyond what any human should have, man the pain you must be in.....

I woulda stopped at day 1. You must love to fish

I have been there, a long time ago when I was younger. Me and my partner at EMS spent all day on the lake with jet skis. I covered up everything pretty good with sunscreen, all but my feet. I knew I was in trouble about half way through the day I had to keep splashing water into the hull of the sea food to keep my feet cool. I was out of work for over a week couldn't begin to try to put a boot on for a while. It does look pretty bad, the burning is over. You got to keep it from getting infected now.

That's all day 1. What started as a minor looking sunburn has morphed what looks like a Hiroshima survivors feet. It rained the rest of the week.

My god man it looks like you microwaved them.

Reminds me of those medicines that make you extra sensitive to sun.

In all seriousness, that’s not a DIY issue. Get to a Ready Care ASAP.

Sun poisoning. I had it on my nose as a kid--the week of the 5th grade talent show. I know we all have baggage in our heads. Most of mine emanates from having to perform in front of the whole school with a big ass bandage across my face.

Then to make matters worse, I'm working in Home Depot years later...in walks an old man looking for something and he's got a bandage across his nose. Don't ask me how it came up (cause I don't remember), but we got to talking about what his "injury" was. Sun poisoning as a kid and it turned into cancer as an old man. Had to have his nose chopped off. Before I could stop him, he's pulling back the bandage to reveal a nose-less face.

While you're feet are vomitingly nasty @Brian K , they're not nose-less face vomitingly gross.

Did something similar when I was a kid in middle school. Nice late spring day, went out with a classmate and his parents on their sailboat. No sunscreen. My legs got toasted. Was out of school for a week and could barely walk. Then when we came back gym class was just run the entire period. Should have refused on medical grounds and gone to the nurse. When we got done, my legs were flame red and you could feel the heat coming off of them.

Mom brought over one of her RN friends last night. Said a DR would just tell me to keep doing what I'm doing. Keep them clean and using non stick burn pads to hold in an aloe / 4% lidocaine based burn cream and a silver based wound care cream to prevent secondary infections. I'm wearing shoes during the day, it's uncomfortable, but doable. As long as I'm moving everything is fine, the swelling doesn't really set in until I stop moving towards the end of the day - that's rough - and that's when most of the photos were taken, after the shoes come off for the day and I elevate. I've got a stash of tetracycline if I need it and I'm keeping an eye on it as secondary infection is bad news. I am diabetic which causes some problems with healing - to clarify, I keep my glucose levels in check through diet and exercise, I've been off the metformin under the watchful eye of my endocrinologist for a few years now.
