A thread for places that don't want our business.

I'll start. Came across this convenience store today at HWY 421 and HWY 53 outside of Burgaw, NC

Wanted a drink but seen this sign that lets criminals know this is a good place to rob, so I turned around and just drove to the next store.

Based on the graphic they don't want anyone robbing them with a phaser gun.

Hell I've been there before. I didn't see the sign, but I won't go back

I think I walked by one at Neomondes in Morriseville yesterday.

Somehow I have to wonder if someone either wasn't thinking or was and is really smart when that bit of legislation was crafted because it's (must be conspicuous which isn't legally defined) a mile wide loophole in most cases of posting.

Carolina Ale House in Concord. Wasnt posted at first, now has a brass sign adorning the doors
Really. I used to like to eat at those. My BIL is good friends with the guy who owns those 50 or so restaurants, but my BIL is himself a shotgun phudd. His wife however, carries a S&W 442 that I helped her buy.

Just wanted to keep it "G" rated. And no, I never ate fish tacos. Probably one thing I never will eat.

Not that one, the "OTHER" fish taco.... The one you buy to eat. Not that you can't buy... Forget it...

You "buy" that one too. Our entire lives are spent spending in hopes to obtain said item. Just saying

"Shoes and shirts required". Obviously one shirt will not grant you entrance either. What happens if LEO stops in? Does he leave his firearm in the car, which is still on the property? I've been in that place before, been awhile though.

Oddly enough here in Charlotte I don't see many signs at all unless I'm visiting a government building. The last time through one of their security theater checkpoints - after locking my gun knife and extra mag in the car - they find a nail in my pocket and give me a good stern talking to about sharp pointy objects.

You should have given them a serious dressing down about how much hardware you just stowed send that if your intentions were ill, they wouldn't have stood a chance.

I thought CHP holders were one of the most law abiding groups of people? After reading this thread it sounds like they may be the group with the most vision problems. Maybe I should stop by the eye doc?

If the no guns allowed sign is much smaller than all their other signage then they must not place much importance on the no gun thing. If I put a sign like that up I'd want to make darn sure people see it. Then they hide it among a few other small signs. I think that is called camouflage so people can be excused for missing those signs.

I've seen some around W-S that I was tempted to ask if they had actually put them up.
Window full of manufactured signs and then some printed off not even laminated scotch taped on no guns sign.
The forum couldn't store the list of places posted within Winston.

I must not be paying much attention because I hardly ever see a sign in Winston....

There are a couple of apps for this. 2A Friendly, and Posted! come to mind.

Several chains that claim to have a national GFZ policy have no signs on the local franchises. Of course that sometimes results in dead bad guys that believed the national policy applied.

I guess you were trying to nail them.

Went to a theatre in Southpark, and it had a tiny gunbuster like 3" x 2". My wife and I ignored it. However this place searched bags and we didnt know until we had paid. She promptly had to leave her bag in the car and I made her buy an IWB holster

Anybody know if Knights stadium in downtown Clt is posted?
You pay admission there. And yes it's a no no there. Bladed weapons should be your choice. Hide a knife behind belt buckle and when the detector goes off voila' it's just my belt buckle.

You pay admission there.

That's no longer the law. Thankfully.

2. Assemblies and Establishments

North Carolina law also prohibits any person carrying a gun, rifle, or pistol into any assembly where a fee has been charged for admission or into any establishment where alcoholic beverages are both sold and consumed. Again, the individuals exempted from carrying concealed weapons cited in paragraph III. A. of this publication are similarly exempted under this law. The following may also carry a firearm in these areas:

  1. The owner or lessee of the premises or business;
  2. A person participating in the event, if he/she is carrying a gun, rifle, or pistol with the permission of the owner, lessee, person, or organization sponsoring the event;

  3. A person registered or hired as a security guard by the owner, lessee, person, or organization sponsoring the event; or

  4. A person carrying a concealed handgun if the person has a valid concealed handgun permit or is exempt from obtaining a permit pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14-415.25. Note: this allowance does not allow a person to carry a handgun on any premises where the person in legal possession or control has posted a notice prohibiting the carrying of a firearm on the premises, nor does it allow the permittee to consume alcohol while carrying a handgun
    N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14-269.3.

NC did away with the pay admission thing.

Y'all should put a dang shirt and shoes on every now and then.

Buffalo wild wings at southpoint is posted too.

BWW is posted near where I work, too...but in VA, those signs don't carry the force of law, so I ignore them.

I'm only 69" tall. I'm not sure I'd see that sign, all the way at the top of that door.

Montford Drive.
Man, that takes me back. We used to drink beer at the Pizza Hut after ball games, and walk over to the bowling alley parking lot to conduct fist fights.
