Early Sunday morning 1 killed and 11 injured in Minneapolis shooting involving multiple shooters at one place in downtown area near where protests had been taking place.

Last night in Charlotte 2 dead, 7 shot and 5 injured when struck by different vehicles at block party celebrating Juneteenth. Police say more than one shooter involved.

Just a coincidence or a sign of more to come to enact stricter gun control in connection with other demands such as disbanding police and such.

I wonder if more gun control is going to go over very well right at this particular time with the lib/commie/maggots since the Antifa and BLM protesters/rioters are taking up arms and would not want their benefactors to keep them from doing so. I suppose they will just ignore the laws the way they usually do while insisting that the laws be obeyed by the rest of us.

not only a bad time because of that.. But because we are in an event in American history where commandeering territory from cities, setting police cars and stations on fire and making LEO wash our feet is acceptable.

they really want the 2A community jumping into the mix right now?

16 were killed in Chicago this weekend. Including a 3 year old boy and 11 year old girl. Where are the protests? One would think people would be more outraged over the loss of innocent children than the loss of criminals killed during the commission of a crime? I guess the killing of these kids just doesn't fit with the current political narrative?

This seems to be the truth and it is very sad.

Give it a month and it will be front and center as part of some new "reform bill" that will have all sorts of feel good stuff to "keep us safe" and such. There is no way they'll pass up such a great opportunity to push more gun control. CNN will prove it's just whitey out there shootin' up the town being racist, and we've gotta stop that for the children!

Video from the Charlotte shooting, it doesn’t show the actual shooting but you can hear the gunshots and the pandemonium of the crowd fleeing.
With the amount of rounds expended during the fire fight they are very lucky that more people were not hurt

Pretty slow and low auto fire. Not an AK or AR, even with a bump stock and too slow to be a typical ghetto blaster mac10. I am agreeing with the above "sounds like a professional job" with that many rounds fired you'd expect more bodies, I think that was just to incite panic.

At 0:34 there is what sounds like a true full-auto string of fire ... fairly high cycle rate. The other stuff has quite a few different reports ... multiple firearms and multiple shooters. Somebody had some gang or criminal actions in mind.

As to the full-auto string ... many here know “things” ... from “barb wire” to “lighting” type things ... that might not be “the $200 type” stuff. Things get messed with by those who do not abide by the law on other things.

I wish i could have a cheap automatic chopper and have charges bargained down to misdemeanors if I ever got caught with it.

I'm guessing a Glock with an autosear. You can find them pretty inexpensively on some mainstream websites (one in particular, but I won't mention it). The gun community always assumed they're honey pots, but I guess that isn't always the case.

And I've been told they work.

Were they shot and run over?
Intial call was for someone struck by car and in the mayhem that followed 4 additional people were struck by cars in addition to those that were shot. After watching video linked to another post I'm suprised more weren't injured.

Was also another shooting in Seattle's CHOP the second one in a few days where police were again harrassed and pushed back in their attempt to render aid. It may be these incidents are an attempt to provoke a show of force reaction by the police to reignite a call for the riots, damage and looting that occured in the first week of the Floyd protests.

Hell, this is just Too Easy.....no comment....no ban for this old man!!

I was just reading an article about it and I just don't get it. The mayor of Charlotte said it was "What should have been a joyous celebration of freedom."

From the same article some witnesses said... "a happy, peaceful celebration prior to the violence. Street racing and drivers “doing donuts in the road” had been part of the celebration."

Hundreds of people are out in the streets acting a fool with no cops in sight and somehow people are shocked things went downhill.

The shootings are designed to keep Census 2020 staff from entering the neighborhoods.

And Chief Putney has calles it quits. He's retiring on July 1st. Bet they hired a woman of a muti-minority status (race, gender, and identity) to fix the Queen city

That’s funny right there. I’m sure it will be as successful as other such hires in big cities. That poor woman.

Amazing. Well maybe not. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think I would be hanging out on the street like that.

Must be some form of Charlotte community entertainment. Who wants to be a random target.

In the twitter feed from Atlanta just below the Charlotte video it looks like people are actually walking toward the shooting until it gets rapid.

Depends on who did the shooting here.

As of this afternoon, police said there were 400 witnesses and nobody saw anything.

Maybe the CEO of CPI was on to something when he suggested efforts be directed towards black on black crime.

That's nothing new. Everytime there's a shooting in the hood by gangbangers, nobody saw anything. That's because they know they will be next if they do testify. They know this because they know that the court system will just give the bangers a slap on the wrist and they will be right back in the hood in just a short time.

If there is a shooting and no one really saw it, did it really happen?

I guess in a case like that it really can't hurt to de-fund the police.

Wasn’t he already out the door? And was just sticking around to help with the RNC?

Since that’s not happening, no reason for him to stay longer.

I work in these areas a good bit. It's pretty common to see about a dozen folks out front drinking on the porch at 11AM. They'll deal drugs right in front of us without a single concern. Hell, I've seen them lined up at the trap house for opening hours, and this is all during the work day. The hood is a different animal at night.

As a buddy of mine said, a year ago needing body armor would have been a silly idea, today not so much. How baggy are your work clothes?

From WBTV
"One woman was found lying in the roadway with a gunshot wound and pronounced dead on scene. A second victim struck by gunfire was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead a short time later, police say. Police say they had to pull people off the backs of firefighters as they worked to get to the injured."

I hate to say it, but this does not surprise me at all.

The two situations that cause uneasiness and make me have a heightened sense of alert...

1) Working in a roadway

2) Large crowds where tensions / emotions are redlining

Doesn't even need to be "the hood" to go bad at night, but it helps.
Detroit has an annual Noelle Night where all the midtown businesses around the museum/university area stay open late, put on events, etc. We took one of my wife's nieces a couple years back (who took it very poorly that they had to walk around a fresh shooting crime scene during the 4th of july fireworks). We got there a little after sunset, walked through the Detroit Institute of Arts, went out to the street where there were a couple stages - only stayed in that area a few minutes because I could feel a "vibe" developing. I said "hey, let's head the other way off the main strip over towards the small shops."
Yep, it wasn't long before cruisers and helicopters started screaming over to where we had just been. We quietly texted the girl's parents that whatever happened, we had already gotten away from it and we were all safe, and that the girl had no idea that anything was wrong.
Here's what we missed
