I have some on order but after watching this video, might be better to make your own.
looks like you need to be in some kind of agency to get some from them?Depends on how much you want to spend, and how light you want it.
Personally, the best system I have seen is the Angel Armor Truth series.
https://angelarmor.com/
The Truth Snap is basically 2 ultra light plates that are each rated 3A. They “snap” together with neodymium magnets. Together they are level 3, and rated up to 308.
They are also so light that they will float.
Just bought a concealed (under clothes) set from Spartan Armory Systems. Front and back soft plates (3A) stop 44Mag. velcro type vest. Is it perfect (no rifle protection) but given I'd rather be concealed - this will work
It's hot and sweaty.

I got to looking, and HESCO 4401 looks like it might be worth looking into.
Can say the same thing about thousands of dollars of guns. You may have just funded the Arsenal of the people who murder you...I spent no more on armor than a Glock. Doesn’t HAVE to be expensive. Like anything else, there’s a spectrumHaven't bought any. With my luck somebody would just shoot me in the eye and I'd have spent all that money for nothing.
Practice moving, especially things that require bending your torso, like getting in and out of a car. It is a lot harder than it sounds with body armor on.
Also, cardio is king. Train... CrossFit has body armor cardio training that is top notch.
Also, if she is only wearing 3A, and she takes a round, it will still break ribs and ruin your day. Look for small, light, hard plates that fit in the front and rear trauma pouches of your carrier.
Nice!
I am not a fan of CF either...
I mean it’s ok, it’s just organized HIIT.
But the fact that it’s such a cult, and members just have to tell you about it... ugh gross
I have a half dozen sets of armor I've collected over the last couple decades. Probably still have a set of AR500 plates somewhere even, lol... Now it's concealed IIIa soft and a set of ultra light rifle plates to throw over. Total package is under 10# and most of it is the soft armor and carriers. I still like my ceramic LVL4 so it's by the bed.
The only reason I use steel is because my vest* doubles as a workout weight vest; my only plan to use otherwise is responding to things that go bump in the night at home. Otherwise, I'd get something 1/3 the weight. There are SO many options now. I still tell people if it's low probability but high risk, AR500 is a great, super affordable option...if you don't mind the weight.
*It's an Eagle CIRAS, so I could get the BALCS soft armor and just take out the plates when I am not exercising with it.
Have her wear them around the house for a few hours. That will tell her a lot.I’ll probably see what she wants to do after my lightweight plates get here. She just needs something to get to a safe place (house, vehicle, etc.) if something were to happen. No fighting for her. She’ll be in the corner like a scared pussycat. Lol. But with one of my pistols.
What all do you have on it?Just this minute weighed my setup...18 pounds...I woulda bet it was 150 pounds when it's on.................
Is that a ballistic face shield???
Is that a ballistic face shield???
That’s awesome. LmaoLol. Yeah... IIIa. It's for my Mad Max Halloween costume along with the throat armor...
That’s awesome. Lmao
You mind wearing a body cam when you do? I’d love to see it.I'm going to break it out when people tell me I have to wear a mask!
