Form 1 Exempt FN FAL Auction

These are interesting, just to clarify..... these are not MGs. They can be converted to MGs very easily (2 parts I think) but to do that now would be illegal.

When they were produced instead of making them permanently semi only, they just took out the two pieces. By the time the ATF figured that out.....the 1.5k were here.

Thats a hell of a thing... FAL's have always been cool, but have continued to elude me.

You cant get much closer to a true to life un-molested FAL then those... but I wouldnt want to run one on full auto lol

The consistency problem in the ATF always baffles me. These they banned importation of but left them with their rightful owners. Then you had MAK-90s with a 3rd pin hole riveted closed and they recalled them back from their owners and any not turned back in are illegally owned to this day.
Add 2 parts, legal just don’t import more. Remove a rivet and add parts, too dangerous your legally purchased rifle is now illegal.
Never look for logic in a government agency I guess.

I know next to nothing about FAL’s but it seems pretty silly to sell a $7k+ rifle with no mags. Not even 1, can’t throw in a $40 mag to make the rifle complete?

The folks who have that kind of scratch have plenty of mags, cuz that's not their first FAL.

Any magazines that we not original to the rifle would likely detract or distract from the value of the rifle. Magazines can get very specific as to date and origin. If they we not exactly correct, someone would complain. "Those magazines should have 6 spotwelds not 5! The 5 spotwelds were made in ......."
