Within hours, every time I post a gun for sale on Armslist, I get numerous ‘Is this gun still available?’ emails. Everyone except me may already know why they do this. I used to answer these emails, because I have no self-esteem. Now, they just piss me off. Thanks in advance

As a somewhat dissenting opinion, there's more than a few Armslist sellers who NEVER remove their posts after selling it.

"Is this still available" is a reasonable question.

I always get them within the first few hours of a new listing, not when I bump them. I’ve always assumed the ‘Bot’ thing, it just seems not very efficient way to get them. I guess getting gun-owner emails is a better reason, as opposed to a relatively few anonymous emails. As usual, frustration supersedes logic and out comes the stupid question. Thanks

I get the same thing on CraigsList via text message. Never a response just two or three "is this still available". I have always responded but they never have text back. I was wondering about this lately myself.

I'll agree with JF here, even places like Facebook marketplace and CL, people will leave stuff up well after it's sold.

I'll put the name of the item in the email subject when I reply on CL and Gunbroker.

Never had a problem with this until now. Listed a gun yesterday and have received two "Is this still available?" already. For some reason I responded to the first just to see if they would respond back. Received this a couple of hours later.

My ad clearly states FTF/NO SHIPPING.

I like to send people on craigslist the link to the same NEW item on Amazon only CHEAPER.

That's the certified cashier check scam.

It’s good to put “if this item is still listed it has yet to sell. I will not answer is it still available.”

If I ask a question about an item and get no response in few days I will ask again, and again, and again, and again, until they take the item down. I don’t use the generic questions. All my questions are inquiries into condition. Craigslist sellers rarely respond or take ads down. Never sold or bought on Armslist. I have been to that site twice. There are some weird ads on that site.
