....to decline to do a "phone census"?
I told the lady I did the paper one already, and she said this is a different one, it's only done by phone or in person. I told her I decline to give personal info out over the phone. She said I have to do the census. I said I don't think I'm required to. She then said she would come to my house. I said I'm in seclusion at the moment, so I will not be answering the door, and I will not participate in your census.
A day or so later, I heard some scratching at the sidelight by the door, but ignored it, as it wasn't actual knocking ON the door. Later I went out and discovered a note from the census lady, with her number on it, saying she needed my help.
Surely it's not illegal to decline to do a census? Or is it?
And why would this lady just show up at my door, after I told her we were done?
