Hey folks, took my new 442 to the range today. Fired 50 shots total, a good bit of my shots were high and right but didn’t think much of it. Got back and while cleaning, I noticed the barrel crown looks a bit... off?
If you’re standing behind the gun, the right side of the crown has 2 areas that recesses lower into the barrel than the rest of the barrel. I tried my best to show it in the pictures. When looking in the barrel, it looks like there’s some rough edges on the areas that are recessed as well.
The last pic shows the show the side of the crown that looks “normal”. Not sure what is normal hence why I put it in quotations. It may be no issue at all but just wanted input from those who know more than myself before I put a call in to S&W. If anyone needs a pic from another angle, just let me know. Thank you.
