Suggestions for removing rust from (2) 1911’s.
One is stainless with looks like matte/bead blast on top of slide and in serrations. Not bad but still needs to be removed.
Next one is 2 tone. Black slide with matte/bead blast frame. This one is sad to see. Freckles everywhere on a colt mark 4 80 series 😫
Both have rust inside the magwell close to the opening.
We didn’t have a barrel bushing wrench to remove the slides so I have no clue what the inside looks like.
Any 1911 smiths in the Triad that would tackle this? I’m guessing a complete disassemble then some bead blasting or chemical treatment.
