I am thinking of a meet up in Southern Pines in Aug or Sept..
Any takers?
Shotgun!Entirely possible. I'm always looking for reasons to visit my favorite restaurant in SP.
Shotgun!
I didn't get home till 10PM last night from looking at a car in Hickory.Which is why I was posting till 2AM. Gotta keep up appearances around here.LOL...took you long enough.
Any particular place in mind in Southren Pines?
There's a few of us who will drive way out of our way to eat at Full Moon Oyster Bar in SP. Props to @thrillhill for telling us about it.
Never been, but I love seafood.Oh yeah.... I'm all for meeting there!

There's one near the now deceased Gander mountain in Morrisville also.Never been, but I love seafood.
Good to know, thanks. That's near the gym I joined a couple of weeks ago. There's one near the now deceased Gander mountain in Morrisville also.

I'm not a seafood guy, but their menu has an angus steak. So I'm good with that being the place to meet.I see a lot of people liking the Full Moon Oyster Bar. Would anyone object to that being the meeting place?
The missus and I noticed the decline in service at the Morrisville location the last we were there a few weeks ago. We stopped in yesterday about 4PM to beat the Saturday crowd, but it was already getting busy, with the same three people working the counters. We didn't stay. Ended up at City Barbecue. I just had three "vegetables". Gumbo, pole beans, and collards. They put enough meat in all of them to not even need an order of meat.No. The difference in quality between the two makes the drive to Southern Pines worth the extra effort.

Oh. My. Gosh. was it good.
I guess it depends on what you get. The shrimp and grits were still outstanding. That's all we've had the last two times. It's not just service, it's the quality of the food, too.
Well...the Blue Oyster Bar is probably more appropriate, but I'm too far away to attend and so my vote shouldn't count.I see a lot of people liking the Full Moon Oyster Bar. Would anyone object to that being the meeting place?

I don't recall tables, except outside.
Honest opinion. I've tried to get locals in the RTP area together on week nights before, and there's a bunch of us. It's usually a bust. I can get a couple together but that's usually it.I have a limited schedule do to 3 on 3 off. So who wants to pick a day?
I think a Sunday night or Monday night could be best to avoid others.
But it's just a option
