I use to like wines... Unfortunately, became a diabetic a wile ago. So, most of the drinks are prohibited. HOWEVER! I've discovered: Silver, Platinum (not colored) Tequila reduces a blood sugar. Tequila happened to be my favorite hard liquor. Now, I can have a shot of my favorite

I picked up 4 750ml of Jack Daniels, 4 of Gentlemen Jack, 4 of Buffalo Trace and 3 JD Winter
 
Basil Hayden bourbon! I’ve always been a scotch guy (johnnie walker), but man is this stuff is drinkable.. splash in some Ginger ale and the wife even likes it

@kcult that was only one time available at the distillery but when covid hit, they had so much on hand that they decided to sell it in package shops. I find it very easy to drink. ENJOY
 
Here is one that I feel very few have ever seen or tasted, including myself. That will change over the weekend.

I watched an instagram video of a liquor store unboxing a fifth of Double Eagle Very Rare. Looked it up and found that it is really expensive. Company had 1 in stock and the price was $18,999.
 
Just picked up a bottle of Weldon Mills (kept seeing signs for this distillery on 95 headed to UVA over the past few years and finally found a bottle in store, hoping it’s good) and Buffalo Trace from the store in Wilson. They had 7 bottles of BT and about 5 or 6 bottles of Eagle Rare if anyone is close by there and looking.

Came across one of my wife’s top three favorite beers today by chance at a local Harris Teeter (Bell’s Hopslam).

Only comes out once per year and we randomly scored the last 2 six packs last weekend in SC at Stateline Elite (limit one per person there).

Harris Teeter had no such limiting rules so I bought a beeramid worth of them:

Actually less than we got in 2020 o_O. We still had quite a bit left when the release came out in 2021, lol. We took the mini-kegs to the track and drove it around the paddock in back of the truck handing out beer in red solo cups while playing ice cream truck music (in evening after track went cold at races). Also learned that year it doesn't improve with age so won't get quite that much again...

After sampling some at the camping trip 2 weeks ago, I picked up some Old Smoky Salted Caramel, Bailey's Irish Cream, and Select Club Pecan Praline.
Wife and I both added some Irish Cream to our coffee this morning. Made for some good coffee!

Good stuff… I also have Basil’s Rye….
as for Scotch we have JW black, Laphroig, and Lagavulin.
a bottle of 191 Everclear.
and a bunch of other stuff.
200 bottles of wine
etc…


just got a bottle of Old Smokey Mango Habanero…

Picked this up yesterday on a recommendation from the likker store dude. It’s not bad.
