I looked at the Youngsville store this morning, none found. I do like the fried Chuckwagon version of minced buttholes, but when I am really feeling high-falutin… I go for the potted meat on crackers… a pate’ if you will.Food Lion used to have a really good version of that but I guess the gluten free soy crowd don't want assorted animal buttholes minced into a patty anymore.
Oh man…. Willing to share the BBQ joint that sells them? May need to make a trip up!!Oh the Chuck Wagon! They are good. Local BBQ joint in Chatham still has them on the menu. I used to eat there regularly before I retired. About once a week I’d get a Chuck Wagon sandwich.
Allan and Son on Hwy 15-501 between chapel Hill and Pittsboro.Oh man…. Willing to share the BBQ joint that sells them? May need to make a trip up!!
If you decide to go, give me a heads up. I’ll to meet you there for lunch.
Absolutely! If you decide to go, give me a heads up. I’ll to meet you there for lunch.
Food is great. Price is in the same range as all the restaurants in the area. The only issue with a monthly lunch, will be space. They fill up fast but do have a couple tables that would hold us if we get there in time.Joe, how good's the joint? Would it be worth, and fit a monthly lu ch?
I ain't never heard tale of that thar Chuck Wagon. It looks a bit sketchy.
I had the pleasure of meeting Pop-N-Shots yesterday, seems he fits right in with us knuckleheads.
Oh buddy!!! Never been there, but that looks like my kinda place! I like the cash only aspect too!@Pop N Shots
If you're ever near Hillsborough / Mebane area there's a place called Missy's Grill.
It's right off 85/40.
They serve a great chuckwagon burger.
Cash only and a walk up window to order.
Man I haven’t thought about A&M Grill in forever. Used to eat there couple times a month. When you said Mebane, I instantly thought of and pictured the old A&M Grill. I miss that place for sure..
This looks like a great place! I love hometown food joints and I don’t mind traveling… will wake up and get a craving… let’s say a place like Daniel Boone Inn, in Boone, NC. Day trip! let’s go! That’s 3h10m one way.Chuck wagon steak (and sandwiches) are on the menu every day at Sharon's Cafe in Marion, NC. I know that's a looong way from you, but I eat there about once a week when I visit my mother. The owner is my first cousin, and all of the staff treat my mother and me Iike family. The prices on this menu are out of date, but the daily special includes two sides, drink, and dessert.

Not to mention, I have an aunt in Asheville, that I need to go see… easy to stop in on the way.
Also, noticed two things on your pics other than the Chuckwagon

Dang, I wish there was and Ingles nearby.Ingles sells the Oncor paties you posted a picture of. Walmart has a store brand of them. Save-A-Lot has them in the pick 5 store brand and I've seen the Oncor ones there as well.
The walmart's around here have them in the big open freezer where they keep all the fries, frozen chicken, etc. Look over where the frozen hamburger patties are they're generally there. They have the chuckwagon patties and they have chicken fried steak patties with little gravy packets.. I'd pass on the chicken friend steak, they're not that great at all.Dang, I wish there was and Ingles nearby.
I looked at Walmart in Wake Forest, but didn’t see any. However, they have a bad habit of moving stuff around, and putting it in places you wouldn’t necessarily think it would be.
No such thing as a Save-A-Lot in the Raleigh / Wake Forest area… there are a bunch of Pay-A-Lots and hoity-toity places that would never think to carry such a delicacy.
10/4! Will give that area another look for sure..The walmart's around here have them in the big open freezer where they keep all the fries, frozen chicken, etc. Look over where the frozen hamburger patties are they're generally there. I need to roll up to GCI Turf Services, in Reidsville… in the next week or so…. May need to bring a cooler with me to snag some, if I can’t find locally.OK, I'm not promising but Bi Rite Galaxy in Stokesdale used to have big bags of frozen Chuck Wagon Patties iirc. But, it's been a while since I've been to their meat dept.

We ate lunch here again today, and I had a chuckwagon sandwich with onion rings. 😁This looks like a great place! I love hometown food joints and I don’t mind traveling… will wake up and get a craving… let’s say a place like Daniel Boone Inn, in Boone, NC. Day trip! let’s go! That’s 3h10m one way.
