That’s not a “factory” H&R XM177 clone is it? The barrel looks shorter.
No, it's not a factory built rifle but is a XM177E1 clone. The E1 had a 10" barrel, and they went to 11.5" for the E2. The upper came from H&R as a complete assembly and the rest of it was put together around a partial fence H&R Commando lower. That’s not a “factory” H&R XM177 clone is it? The barrel looks shorter.
Nice! It looks fantastic. No, it's not a factory built rifle but is a XM177E1 clone. The E1 had a 10" barrel, and they went to 11.5" for the E2. The upper came from H&R as a complete assembly and the rest of it was put together around a partial fence H&R Commando lower.
I originally planned on a XM177E2, but when H&R came out with the E1 uppers I pivoted toward that. These pics were part of my inspiration.

Started life as a Bushmaster Patrolmans Carbine. Gave it a used A1 pistol grip, CAR type stock, and Meprolite M21.
Shoots like a house on fire..

ZAHAL - IDF M4/M16 Clone Set
The ZAHAL - IDF M4/M16 Clone Set is used by various IDF infantry/Special Forces units for the AR15,zahal.org
What’s the story? I’ve not heard it and am stuck in an early 90s-early 2000s era AR read everything I canTroy Mogadishu A2 Carbine

The story as to why they had C7 uppers is a good read.

Why did you have an A2 upper if it’s an IDF clone. Prefer the rear sight? The tribute to Israeli simplicity

How do you like the Meprolite M21?
I keep thinking I want one.
Once you get past how simple the zeroing procedure is, and take my advice, follow the procedure in the book, otherwise you're going to chasing your hits, and you'll never get it zeroed. How do you like the Meprolite M21?

My personal preference is the A2, mainly cause that’s my first love when I think of an AR
If I can’t have that, I want a C7
I’ve got several flat tops, but they are mostly styled after what I carried while I was in or saw others carrying
Here ya go........One of these days I plan getting into the weeds with the different variants of AR's, I even bought the giant Vickers/Ruply book (vol. 1). I have a bunch, set up to my liking, and a bunch of pre-bans including my favorites, SP1's.
But I don't know the difference between an A2 and a C7.
Here ya go........

Were A2's full-auto or 3-round burst? (before getting an M40A1, I had an A2/203 w/ burst)
Seems the C7 and A2 were the same except the C7's have the older rear sight? Were the C7's semi-auto only?
Thanks. I'm hoping with the huge chevron front sight post I can shoot the thing with irons, but my eyes are pretty awful these days so I may have to do something like that. Its an Aimpoint mount I found on GB.

C7 was full-auto, and had a heavy barrel instead of an A2 Government Profile.A2s are burst only, to my knowledge the C7 was full auto. But I could be incorrect...
Didn't the A2 have a heavy barrel (HBAR) as standard?C7 was full-auto, and had a heavy barrel instead of an A2 Government Profile.

I was interested, I'm just already massively over budget for gun bits.No one was interested in buying my Anderson dissipator upper so I made it what I really wanted.
