My wife has been wanting a coffee table and 2 end tables since we moved into our house. I've been promising to build some for a year and a half. Last month or I bought around 150 bd ft of red oak and a table saw and router. This weekend I've finally got to work on it. Glue ups are done on the panels for the top and shelf of both end tables, with all pieces roughly cut to length. Feeling pretty good about it so far. The assembled tables will have no hardware in them. Wedged through-tenons will join the top and the legs, the aprons will be joined with mortise and tenon joints, and the bottom shelf with dados. Haven't 100% decided on the final finish, but I'm leaning towards natural finish with shellac. Here's some pics of the progress:
