I have some great places for my stuff. I keep my handguns behind the nightstand and above the microwave. For emergencies, I keep a couple thousand dollars behind the toilet--nobody will ever look there! Longer guns, like my Daniel Defense and the expensive collectible stuff goes under the mattress in the guest room. My wife found a great place to hide the heirloom silverware just inside the attic door. I've told her she needs to hide all that jewelry but she says she needs it on the dresser where she can get to it easily.
We still have a little more work to do, though. I want to put some lights outside. It's so dark when we come home, and the house is so far from the road. I sure wish those home alarm systems didn't cost so much or I would get one. We are on a vacation this week, we needed to get away because we were heartsick when our only dog died. But as soon as I get back I'm going to fix that broken deadbolt, and then nobody is going to get into 104 East Maple Street!
