Will they be bringing the store with them?
o shoot one with my Swedish Mauser, but I have not gotten used to that rifle yet.
I got a sweet shooting Swede........where do I go to see the courses?,,,,,,,,,,Butner matches have a website?......aint shooting the Garand cuz i'm selling it.
My hurdle is what to do for a sling on the k98
How are the rules for slings being "factory?" Are they supposed to be original style or they can be whatever you want as long as they attach to rifle somehow?I`ve got an original, but I like to shoot with the sling dang near cutting my circulation off. Not real easy with a stock k98 sling in the standard mount
What did you think of the "Hackberry" wood stocks on the Turkish Garands? Looked like someone splashed walnut stain on poplar to me, lol.I checked in today and was admiring the field grade Winchesters on the sale table right as they were closing. I started looking at the welded drill rifles and there was one that was so dirty, it was nearly black. But it appeared to be a birch stock with some figure underneath. It was so filthy and rusty (and a drill rifle) that I was gonna pass on it, but they kept badgering me about it and finally talked me into buying it. I am mighty glad they did.
It had a decent SA trigger group and an uncut WW2 SA op-rod inside. But the best part was that when I got home, I cleaned the grease and crud off of that dirty black stock and found this underneath:

What rifle?
I just finished packing up to leave at 5am in the morning so I'll be around all day.
Probably be in OD green pants and orange CMP shirt...grab me if you see me...
neat but I'm not interested in a "name"..If I were to buy an IHC it would be correct...my only IHC is an unfired USMC rebuild Trophy rifle. They put out some more International Harvesters today. All had CMP wood and there were 3 left, last I saw.View attachment 54417
Yeah they had one about 30K numbers from one of mine...I would only pay that price if they were consecutive numbers. They did have 3 WW2 correct grade SA's. But at $3000+, that is much too rich for my blood.
