Southern Ohio Gun has surplus 7.62x 38r ammo for a pretty reasonable price. I picked up 400 rounds which should be a lifetime supply. I haven't shot my revolver in ages for lack of ammo so I'm looking forward to getting this stuff. I also picked up a little 7.62x25 to pad my supply since I was ordering anyway. We'll see how the wife reacts when she finds out. :D Link is below.

That is a great deal, assuming shipping isn’t crazy high.

Yeah, that's the bad thing about SOG, they don't tell you how much shipping is until they actually ship it. Hopefully I won't regret it!

I sent them an email asking about shipping before I bought a spam can of Tokarev ammo and they told me how much it would be in advance. It was like $15-$18 to ship a whole spam can, IIRC.

That isn’t bad. I’m going to call them this morning for a quote.

Well shipping on 1000 rounds of ammo ended up being $16. Not too bad.

$18 per case for me. I ordered enough to last me nearly a lifetime, I think. This is a real deal. I have seen this stuff bring $8 a box before.

Nagant pistols are so awful to shoot, it really doesn't take much to make a lifetime supply. In fact, about 14 rounds and mine went from shooter to display status. Interesting concept, but poor execution.

Hmmm...always wanted one as a suppressor host, so maybe buying some ammo is a first step? :D

Three years ago when they were around 100$ it sounded like a great idea....now you would be ruining an expensive investment.

Perhaps we should talk to the guy from Kel Tec...I'm sure he could create some kind of affordable bizarre poly gas-seal revolver just so we could have a real suppressed revolver.

Ammo came! Looks pretty good although there is just a bit of tarnishing on the Bulgarian 7.62x25. The Nagant ammo is clean and bright. I'd forgotten how small that round is!
