The CMP Philippine Returns

International harvester?
Yup... IHC made M1's for .gov from 1952 - 1955 and delivered over 300,000 rifles during their production run.

As for this batch of rifles... I'd wager most of them have been rode hard and put away wet and will certainly show a lot of wear. Any gems will be cherry picked for auction.

A good portion of the 12,000 or so they just got back from Turkey were International Harvesters. I ordered a couple and they both came with LMR barrels, new production black walnut stocks and a lot of IHC parts between them. The Philippine rifles are going to require some TLC from the CMP, but that is what CMP does, so they'll be okay. I just would not expect to see pristine metal finishes or good GI wood on any of them.
