This weekend, downtown WS, is the Heavy Rebel Weekender again.
HRW is each July 4th weekend, mostly on Trade and the main place for it is the Millennium Center.

If youre unfamiliar with HRW, its a big event for 50s/60s car culture and rockabilly etc.
Music, performances, and a HUGE car and bike show.

While the concerts cost money in the evenings, the car show portion is free to go to and walk around.
Classic cars, hot rods, rat rods etc, some pretty cool stuff on display
Not to mention a lot of girls dressed up in period attire, looking dang good!

Temps look pretty good, right now, for Saturday morning, so Im planning on going and will take some pictures and post them up if yall would like

Ive been a handful of times to the FREE car and bike show and love it each year...though most years its pretty hot.
But its a good time and something to take your wife or kids out to if youre interested

Looking forward to your photos of the cars and bikes. Really looking forward to photos of the Rockabilly girls.

I've gone to the car show for the last five or six years, if the forecast holds this will be the coolest temps yet, by a lot.
Little disappointed they relaxed the carshow rules 2? years ago, but I guess as long as it isn't full of new Chargers and imports I'll live.

Im looking forward to not sweating my butt off this year!

How did they change the rules of it?
Its still pretty old (45+ years) cars and bikes

Me too.

Used to be nothing newer than '66 IIRC, maybe the rules haven't changed but the enforcement got lax if not. And there's far more straight up show cars, no where near the rat rod theme. Still a good show, but lost some appeal to me. Plenty of other shows in the area to see the same ol' resto rods.

Great pics, thanks. I liked the Caddy with the Cummins.
My son, 4yo, was quite obsessed with it laying frame and the tires poking into the engine bay.
He also liked the Imperial, so maybe it's just land yachts.

I didn't see the Imperial. Did I overlook it?

There it is!
