What did you do in the reloading room today?

Sized, tumbled, chamfered and primed 40 .308 cases. Will be charging some Varget and seating some 168's and some 155 Amax tonight or tomorrow because I have a new AR-10 to feed.

Did not spend much time in the reloading shack this weekend. I did manage to load 275 rounds of 9mm. My cleaning bench is occupied right now with a chainsaw that needs repair, waiting on parts (primer bulb and fuel line) from Amazon.

Finally finished new tops and backs for some cabinets salvaged from the destruction of my wife's office. (She doesn't need an office as badly as I need more reloading space) Will put electrical outlets in them next so that I can put the tumblers on top of them and keep them accessible 24/7. I hate multiple extension cords. At last room for more toys without losing my bench tops. Oh boy, where to start!!!!!!

Got bored loading 6.5 Creed so I loaded up 20 rounds of 257 Wby for hunting. Nosler 100 grain BT's using Reloder 25. Running right at 3200. It was so much fun I may load another box or two today. :)

Tumbled two loads of brass. First load was 45acp small primer, with some 450 Bushmaster, 44mag, and 460 S&W thrown in. Second load was 45acp large primer and some more 44mag.

I cleaned some once fired 9mm brass. Then I put the clean once fired 9mm brass in the five gallon bucket with all of the other clean once fired 9mm brass. Then I said to myself..."One of these days I'm going to have to reload all of this clean once fired 9mm brass.".

Finally started loading some more .40s. Switched to Winchester primers. Forgot how much my press doesn't like them.

Loaded my first ever .223 rifle rounds recently using IMR 8208 XBR and Speer 55gr JHP projectiles. Went with 8208 as I've ready many good reviews about it being very accurate across a wide range of loadings and platforms. Only loaded 10 and only shot those at 50 yds but they all went bang and made some pretty decent groups. First group 4 out of 5 holes were under an inch with 1 flyer a little outside, but that was most likely me cringing on the first round hoping I didn't blow myself up. :D

Second group of 5 at a higher charge weight stayed a hair under an inch so I can't complain too much. It was also my first time shooting my AR with a scope, so all in all pretty happy.

I recently had good results with 8208 in my AR. I bought a couple more pounds of it at the last gun show as a result.

Loaded up 9 rounds of 460, using 49.0gn of H-110 behind Hornady 200 FTX bullets. I had 9 pieces of primed brass that I had pulled bullets from, and wanted to go ahead and use them.

My H-110 load workup was from 48.5 to 51.5gn. I was just starting to see extraction issues at 49.5gn.

Set up my reloading bench back up. Far left on the L is the casting station then on the right side of the bench. Lyman 450 sizer/lubricator, MEC 600 JR 12ga, Dillion 550B, powder stand, RCBS RS2 single stage press. Then I reloaded some 12 ga1 oz loads with 9 ea .311 round balls and 6 ea .375 round balls that I casted for cap and ball pistols.4c IMG_5240.JPG
.311 round balls (.32 is 0 buck)

I finally swung by Little Hardware down in Charlotte to check out their shop and grab some Lil Gun. I worked with Chuck and even though I only needed 1lb of powder, he invited me to check out the back room. They have on heck of a nice selection of reloading supplies! Not what I'd call screaming deals but very fair prices and I'll certainly be back. And some very nice tradesman quality and tough to find tools as well!

I loaded up 15rd of .300BLK 147gr fmj w/ 15.5gr Lil Gun which thankfully meters SOOOO much better than H110 in my Lee auto drum, no more leaking. I'll be testing these out this weekend.

REALLY:mad:
I bought many a pounds of the 110 for the 300, knowing it leaks and all but thought that was just part of the game.. Uggg, Guess I will try the Lil Gun sometime 2 years from now when I run out...

I bought 4lb of H110/W296 but was getting major leaking out of both of my Lee autodrums, even tried different drum inserts and polishing. It's just a super fine ball powder and Lee stuff isn't made to that tight of tolerances.

I use the charge bar and it leaks some but isn't terrible. The drum did leak a lot more.

What’s your load for 100gr Noslers? Tried any 110gr?

Timed myself loading 9mm on my SDB. Going at a brisk but steady pace I was able to do 93 rounds in 10min, so about 550rd/hour.
Very happy with this rate of production considering I typically shoot 2-300 rounds each range trip.

Finally figured out how much 45acp once fired brass I have sitting around. 5700 give or take a few. Time to fire up the tumblers.

Was a slow weekend for the Toprudder reloading shack. I was only out there for a couple of hours, but I did manage to load up 300 rounds of 9mm, using up the last bit of Silhouette powder I had. I also got the replacement recoil spring guide rod that I ordered for my S&W 22A, so I was able the put that back together.

This week so far loaded up 120 rds of 55 gr FMJ in .223 for the wife's 1:14 twist AR, 60 rds of .308 Win 150gr Sierra Spitzers, 7 rds of 165gr Spitzers and 50 rds of .380 using Lyman's 92 gr LRN. Started to load some 8mm Mauser but stop when I couldn't find my trimmer pilot for it. Might load some .41 Mag tomorrow.

Since Friday...a lot. Haven't loaded a single round, but I built a dedicated reloading (and ammo storage) area. Small bench, lots of shelves, some new lighting, and the sweet (free) chair/stool I got from my mom. Still need to buy one more small light, then pics to come.

Finally loaded up some 30-06 (my first) for a 1944 Garand. I loaded some test rounds, with 147gn bullets, from 44.0gn - 46.5gn of H4895. Not looking for MOA accuracy, just something that I can shoot to 100 yards, maybe ring some steel, and cycle reliably. I only shoot this gun 3-4 times a year, special occasions.
