I’m prepped and off work tomorrow. Gas tanks filled, generators ready, yard cleared out of debris.

Anyone on here old, disabled, ect in SE NC / NE SC , Southern Brunswick, Columbus, NC or Northern Horry SC need some last minute help prepping in the morning pm me, like boarding windows, clearing yards, ect, I’m on the state line and it’s free labor if you’re honestly not able and if you have the material, or if you are helping other neighbors not able I’ll lend a hand.

Not to hijack your thread, but actually I'm gonna hijack your thread LOL...

I will be observing a FEMA shelter in Central NC tomorrow night, I will let Y'all know if I see any blue helmets or train cars and such. :)

Good on you SB!
FEMA serves a good purpose, as long as public funds and supplies don’t get mismanaged by bureaucrats and politics. Stay safe brother!

You don't need to let us know. Just do the sabotage and get out of there. :p

Serves a good theory. But just as ALL public entities... politics in this lifetime ruins the best of intentions....

I pray for the entire east coast, may commonality overcome politics..

Like the article I just read about FEMA leaving 20,000 pallets of bottled water on an old air strip in Puerto Rico

that's good of you SB....I may have to take you up on this. I was in calabash yesterday , boarding up my parents and the neighbors homes. have my parents here in Weddington with me now, sadly I managed to spend all day in the hospital after a disagreement with gravity. and managed to shatter my radius and fracture 2 vertebrae. they may need help unscrewing some panels next week..

Sorry for pain. Bummer. Heal up fast.

Blessings to heal up. I’ll be back to full blown working after the storm probably Monday morning.

I’ve cleared 2 yards this morning with some of the fellow church members. We did a last minute board and sand bag for one person who lives near the Waccamaw river. I don’t think those sand bags are going to help with the amount of rain they are calling for, but at least it’s giving them a little peace of mind. That area flooded bad with hurricane Floyd, which was probably around 24 inches, and again 2 years ago with Mathew. They are talking possibly 40++ inches of rain from Florence.

Hoping you have a speedy recovery.
