Figured I would create a placeholder thread for pics and vids of anything touched by Florence.

I'm sure there will be an abundance of destruction, but I would like to think we will see some positive pics and maybe be a witness to a miracle or two.

I have my drone batteries all charged up and hope to scour the neighborhood first, then, safely, venture out to see what I can see.

Here's a pic of when Matthew finally ran out of steam. You can see the dead pine leaning, but what you may not notice is the dogwood. I had trimmed it so my wife could cut under it on the riding mower without being slapped in the face. Now, the left side is less than 3ft from the ground.

I sure do hope we don't have a lot of destruction pictures and video. But, Mother Nature will determine that.

We’ve had some flooding and many limbs down but so glad the water is finally going down in my area of Beaufort County. My thoughts and prayers are with those who are more unfortunate than I am with this storm. New Bern from what I’ve been told looks like a war zone from all the flooding.

The wind almost knocked me over...exciting!! Can't get video up, maybe later. The power's fluctuating, think it's about to go!

Ok, still have power.
Have some videos, not sure why my little video clips won't post.

The most important thing, how did you get your wife to mow?
I'm not sure how that happened. I cut it for years, then all of a sudden, it was her.

I may cut it once or twice a season, but mostly, it's her.

Neighbor across street tin roof was ripping off, power lines went into house and now it’s on fire.

Lots of big Trees down on the main Hwy by my house.

My bride adamantly refuses to learn the 60" zero turn. Even now we have less than an acre, when it was 17 to mow.

Can’t get the pic of the house now, another home blocking view from my porch and I’m not running back out there. Professionals are there.

At my aunts down the street her roof above the kitchen has fell in. She’s in a brick home, something must have hit it. They’ve lost most the shingles.

David what town are you near. How far inland I guess is what I’m asking.

Down lines everywhere along the road earlier. Creeks are rising now. Probably 2-3 inches of standing water in my yard tonight, that wasn’t there just a few hours ago. AE315EEC-9FC4-4A32-A877-5D24976F0350.jpeg

Went to town this morning. Entire town without power. Someone’s already been cutting to clear enough space to pass through roads with down trees.

This was pulled form a guy on Instagram of the Uwharrie River that’s the same sign. I feel for you guys down east because we got plenty of rain and it’s all heading your way.

There are still two trees on the power lines down the road from me, but our power came back after 4 days, and I feel very lucky.
The linemen did a good job. They worked all weekend in the rain restoring power. Earned every penny they made.

No more water, please. A bridge nearby already looks like it'll only take a few more inches to knock it over....I've got a little video clip of the water rushing to get under the bridge and it's a little scary. I hate to think about the people with higher water. I hope ours starts to settle down soon.
