Guys down East, how are you doing in the storm?

I believe they were under a mandatory evacuation but if they are anything like New Bern then it’s not going to be pretty in the slightest

Not bad in Harnett County, a few broken trees but the power is still on.

It's raining, windy, and the trees are swaying pretty good. My little boy and I just came in from playing in it. I'm in fayetteville. Good memories are being made here but hopefully not at the expense of others well being. Just trying to make the best of it. Power is still on, water is still good. Internet still up. Plenty of stored water. Lots of food. Got the 3 Bs covered. Jeep is full of gas, mustang is in a secure garage.

Just heard on the news that power went out in part of Cary and likely will not be back for several days. Counselors have been rushed to the affected areas to help the citizens deal with this development.

We've had some power flickering here off Glenwood but it's on now.

People in Cary can't cope if it's outside their normal realm lol

Has @BigTwig been around? I know he lives in the evacuation zone. How about @eastnc4me is Princeville flooded yet?

Thought about him yesterday when they were interviewing the fire chief in Princeville. They just now got moved into their station from 2 yrs ago

Princeville has not flooded. Not yet anyway. WRAL reported earlier that the Tar River may have some "mild" flooding but nothing significant. With Princeville and Bynum Farm Road oustside of Pinetops being flooded 3 times in 20 years there is no way I would have moved back to those locations. WRAL reported a possible tornado in Bethel moving west to Rocky Mount and (the latest indicator) was west of Nashville. Now they are reporting possible rotation near Pinetops (my area) and Elm City.

NE Moore county loses power on a slight breeze though...
I have Central Electric on speed dial. In fact I had to figure out their text outage reporting because the last two times and this one that I call I get the all circuits are busy message. The text outage works pretty well though.

BE44404C-95F6-4B03-900D-AB2CCE3ECFF8.jpeg 5 miles west of 95/74. Strong gusty wind. Some rain but not much yet.... power out. So far so good.

Some will understand the pic

When I was a jr enlisted, my platoon leader used to tie a chem light to the back of my cover on night ops... long story. Let's just say I didn't like being in the front and leave it at that.

Well, i finished youtube. Whats next?

Our power here in Fuquay off Sunset Lake and Whitted Rd went down at 6am likely to be several days before we get back on, only 80 homes on our grid.

Well the news is blowing everything up to get the public hyped. We haven't had power since 6:15 am. No tv, no wifi, no internet, and slow cell service.Neighborhood has a little damage, trees and wires down. Supposedly all of Wilmington is without power. The fridge, freezer, and kegerator are all working properly. The yengling is at 36 degrees. Lots of wind and rain now. Wind is not as steady as 3 am. It will be calm for a few minutes then blow like mad for about 30 seconds. We are doing ok. 1 is none and 2 is one.

And tomorrow I will open the 60 gallon pickle barrel full of charcoal to cook steak and eggs for breakfast. That's one option or just make eggs bacon and hash browns.
provided I’m not in a torrential downpour, I’m gonna be right there with you.

Yesterday that was the one section in that neck of the woods I saw without power on the Duke Energy outage map. We are going to be about a half mile away as the crow flies after the first of the year.

It’s wet and I’m running a generator in SE NC. Driveway washingout at the ditch is my only damage so far, I’m good. My fathers home has seen better days, roof leaking everywhere and ceiling coming down. My aunt has a big hole in hers and the ceiling collapsed in several places, lost lots of shingles. We tarped it last night in 50mph winds, well some of my stronger cousins did in better shape, all I did was provide a tarp ;). Power lines and trees down everywhere.

I'm south of Asheboro we ran about 30 calls in 24 hours. I'm about to head back to the department. The worse part will hit tonight.

A few downed trees and fallen limbs here in NE SC. In town is without power and so is a good bit around us, but fortunately, ours is still on.

Still breezy with gusts. I would say last night and early morning were worse than it is right now.

I’m supposed to go to Darlington Monday, usually a 1.25 - 1.5 hour drive from here. Hoping all the roads hold up to the rain between here and there.

Geezer is good, and Billy at Battery Oaks is good as well. I’ve been in contact with geezer. Billy lost power about 1am but they’re all good

Just got a call from Columbus County telling citezens near Lake Waccamaw to evacuate.

Damn storm is just stalled. Same band of heavy rain has been over Hampstead all day.

I'm going to admit it. I consider myself very fortunate.

Only twice has my yard had any standing water and it was gone within minutes. Although the wind kicked up quite a bit now and again, it has not damaged anything here. And the power has been on the entire time.

Northeastern part of Columbus, Bladen and Pender and have getting rain hard it all day. We’ve been getting rain in southern Columbus all day also, but not like just to the north of me. 20 miles north and double the rain amount.

Where'd you get that from? If I can, I'll do business there.
Love the bottom of the label.

Carolina Surf an Turf. Might be a while. He’s in a low lying area that is already flooding.

IMO, best steaks you can buy within an hour drive. Every thing else is really good too. Small business, one owner. Jerry is a God fearing man.

That price was “get rid of it before I lose it” but I bought a 15 lb slab of Prime Ribeye the week before at $11 lb..... of course buying by the steak is a little more expensive but still reasonably priced. His “house” brand also beats everything in the area. If you make it after this mess, let him know Adam sent you.

Jerry is awesome. Amazing difference in his steaks vs what you get at the grocery store.
