If you are trying to see which roads are passable in NC, Google maps (and clicking their "traffic" option from the menu in the top left) appears to be MUCH more up to date now than the NCDOT travel condition map I've posted here several times in the past day or two.

You can get from Tabor City NC to Whiteville NC, then to Wilmington NC as just informed by some family that works on light lines. The Mastec crews are already going to work and others are clearing some down trees in the road so workers can get toward the coast.

Still seems to rainy and gusty to work, but those guys are dedicated and going at it this morning to get started.

Later flooding and washouts is what we’ll have to worry about.

I’ve heard several reports on the radio both sides of I40 are flooded and not passable around the Warsaw area in case you are headed to the beach.

Have to shoot westward then down to HWY 74 as Ive heard 74 isn’t flooded over yet. Most the serious flooding now is the northernmost part of SE NC and mid eastern NC. Will have to watch the lumber river that crosses 74, the amount of rain further north will eventually come down.
