I've heard that before, said it a few times myself.
Last week I had several firsts.

First time I've ever seen an aircraft that had landed on the highway. Wednesday I think, going up 95 up around Wilson. A small plane had landed safely. It looked intact anyway. Guess that pilot is livin right.

On Saturday I was admitted into a hospital for the first time.
Yesterday I had my first surgery to get rid of that pesky appendix.
Couple hours later I got to experience peeing post-catheter for the first time. WOW!!!!!!!Burn baby burn!!!
And it was quite the surprise cause they didn't tell me they would do that, and I didn't notice anything unusual until the flow started moving through the pipe...my reaction brought the nurse running in to see what was wrong!
Anyway, all is well. I was home less than 7 hrs after signing consent. Minor out-patient procedure they called it. Modern medicine is pretty amazing.
So in recoup mode. I'm a sore sum betch today but I can get around. Maybe today is the worst.
Out of work till next Tuesdays consult with the doc. Hope I get turned loose then. In the meantime I hope to get feelin spiffy enuff to climb a ladder so I can finish painting my house. I'm just about halfway.
Take advantage of the time off you see.:)

And when they wheeled me out of pre-op it was the first time I have ever seen fear in my wifes eyes.
That was the worst first for me.
Later y'all

Yeah, have agree that seeing the fear in their eyes is the worst- sadly it's happened far too many times in recent history for us.
Latest episode was when I was trying to be helpful and search under the couch for something. The position I got into was surprisingly comfortable and lately that's a luxury.
So there I laid sprawled on the floor peering under the couch and she walks in- and I heard her gasp.
Let's just say I'll be a little less helpful while I'm sick.

Yeah, I'm gonna need a picture.

My big fat ass was laying face-down on the floor, head turned to side so I could see under the couch. Pillow under one knee as it's more comfortable getting on the floor with a cushion (bad knees).
Scared the shit outta her, I guess she thought I had croaked there on the living room floor.

Mental pic is the best I can do, lol.

Worst part is, it was comfortable and I had closed my eyes at least once thinking about falling asleep, lol.
