Pack mentality. Pick what appears to be an 'easy' target, then pounce. They'll eventually make a bad impulse buy.

On the other hand, they may have just been good boys, taking up a collection for their church youth group. If they ain't caught and somebody does eventually punch their ticket, stand by for the weeping and wailing on the 6 o' clock news about how they didn't deserve to die.

My dad died of Parkinsons disease earlier this year. He was a fitness freak and golden gloves boxer in his day. He used to walk the half mile from our old apartment in Greenville to the gym.
One day 2 young guys decided to try to take his wallet.
He used his cane to beat the pure hell out of them. I happened to be passing by and watched it. I have never seen a 70 yr old man act so fast. I knew he was tough but my Lord, I'll never again take an older person for granted.

He was sick for almost 20 years. It doesnt make it any easier, but at least I have some peace in knowing he isnt suffering anymore.

She had an attempted break in a week previous, just bought the handgun, was asleep with it, single shot to the pumpkin from the top of her stairs, DRT with a 22lr. That tat made for a nice target

Well surely he was just looking for some help getting his life back together. Guys with facial tats are never, ever sketchy.
