Really looking forward to Christmas this year. I found a very clean early Remington 514 for my stepson. Since my wife and I got married he has become my little running buddy and words can't describe how lucky/honored/blessed I am that we are so close. Not to be a sap but giving him his first gun means the world to me. What do ya'll have in planned for your rug rats?

- Lifetime hunting license for my 1 mo old grandson, thanking @Grits for the idea. My son will love it as well.
- Installed electronic deadbolt for another that locks himself out, so he doesn't like to lock the house o_O

Did that as well. The lifetime license not the lock.

I really can't take credit for the idea. I just recycled the same advice given by another member when a grand child was born. We get busy and forget about small things that pay big dividends later.

May the child and his father spend many many hours and days together hunting and fishing. My they always bring game home.

Back this spring I asked a friend if he he knew of a Ruger Single 6 was available at a decent price. Well a few weeks had gone by and he called me up and said let's do lunch and I got that pistol. So I bought it for my oldest either birthday or Christmas. Decided against the birthday and decided to just hold it for Christmas. Well he had mention that a 45 Colt would be a good gun to have. Well I bought one of those the other day for his Christmas present. So it now looks like I get a Single 6.

The youngest is getting a fishing pole.
