My wife has many autoimmune disorders that slow healing for any injury.
She finally got to the point where she could go back to water aerobics classes after nearly a year recovering from a sprained ankle.
Then she went for mild solo hiking this weekend.
Saturday she was the only one where she went. Smart woman that she is, she had both of her 9mm with her.
Second day, she used her skills to help a family coax their son to put his hood by telling him that she could take a picture and he'd be seen in China. :D

I am happy for her and you and jealous at the same time. I am stuck in this chair far at least another two weeks. Then PT maybe.
Heal well.
My wife has spondyloarthritis. That was the main cause of very slow healing.
She sprained her ankle November 2017. Still has bruising from it.
