I had no way out it was me or him.. you dont see a snake posting in this threadI don't kill non poisonus but I used to do home restoration. Was pulling up a vapor barrier , crouched, maybe 3ft on that end of the house, at a column, peelee back the plastic and there's a 4' black snake under my crotch. Never crawled so fast in my life. Then had to go back and find it. Killed it too, it was pissed when I tried to get it out with a hoe.

While the term "poisonous snake" is often incorrectly used for a wide variety of venomous snakes, some species of Rhabdophis are in fact poisonous. Keelback snakes have glands that secrete poison they ingest from eating poisonous toads. While both venom and poison are toxins, a venom requires direct delivery, for instance subcutaneously through a snake bite, but can be ingested without harm. A poison can also be absorbed indirectly, e.g., by touch or through the digestive system.

That wasn't even the one I was thinking about. I thought there was some random snake up in the Pacific Northwest, and another in Japan.Show me one Mr. Wiki
And I mean "physically" show me one. Lol
I think this is our snake. Quite the eventful day. Should have seen the Mexican illegals crew cutting down the giant trees in the yard. Ever seen a man pull a 70 foot tree down on top of his skid steer. Thank goodness he put up the logger attachment as it fell. It was a day of excitement in the world of heating and air installation.
Perhaps a Gray Rat Snake?
Thanks I've found several and didnt think it was poisonous looking at its head.Given the head coloration and the dots along the back I believe that is a "brown snake" no kidding that is the actual name not BS. Non-venomous.
