Well now....
Appreciate the feedback from some, and the snark from others....
For you snarky fellows, I’d like to dedicate a Volbeat song to you...
Over the last 14 years, I have endured an unfaithful ex-wife, getting stiffed for $120K from a GC (which cost me my first house), a devastating house fire, the unexpected death of my father, a nasty divorce, and watched my son go through a crippling accident which cost him a leg...literally. He had no insurance so Shari and I had to step up and help him get a prosthetic and learn to walk again. I’ve had a few personal loans here and there, and have paid back every single dime, with interest, as promised, and if I was a little late on the agreement, I ponied up extra. I may not be much, but I AM a man of my word. Now, I’m 50 in a couple of weeks and within $40,000.00 of solvency. No house payment, a little-bitty truck payment on a work truck, and a few odds and ends to get paid off, and I will owe NO ONE, and I’ve gotten to this point without setting foot in a bank or loan institution, and without using a credit card. I’ve busted my tail stacking towers and hanging antennas for 36 years....since before I could drive...
I KNOW how to make money, and I KNOW how to prepare for “rainy days”, but sometimes stuff just happens and you’re not prepared for it, and after the fire and the divorce, the last five years have been EXTREMELY difficult. I KNOW some of y’all have suffered the same kind of pitfalls I’ve been through, so at least SOME of you know....
Anyway, thank you, gentlemen for years of enjoyment on this forum. I see where I stand in the ranks. My skin is thicker than most people’s, but I’m smart enough to figure out where I’m not welcome.
Peace out.
