Most of the Subaru drivers that I know (that also own guns) tend to have glocks or other European guns. To date, I've not met someone who was passionate about hi points in person.
A hi point is like tools from walmart. Not the greatest, but they'll get the job done. Most honest reviews I've read on hi points say they work, even if they're clunky and awkward.
I've never owned a Subaru, but I've got many friends who do, and they love them. I don't get their cult following (especially impreza bros). The only real negative I've heard about them is they seem to have a short lifespan. Most folks I know who've owned one try to get out of them around 100K miles, or end up replacing the head gaskets around 130-150k. I can't imagine a modern car having such a short lifespan on the engine before needing such serious work. I see it as a big design flaw.
