At first it was a pre-64 Winchester 30-30 and after reviewing the YouTube videos I am going to add a 2nd generation Colt Woodsman.

Ruger MkIII
Fun to shoot but the last time I cleaned it it almost went back in the safe in a baggie.
Mainspring lever?

Slacker, AMEN on the Rossi 92. There is a trick that uses dental floss. Mine ended up at the gunsmith for 5 weeks. Then I found out using the dental floss.

The original? The most infuriating thing I have ever done was attempting to get that thing back together.
The new ones, I got one and took it apart to clean before shooting it.
Next time I'll take it outside and use the hose and hope that it works afterwards,

It's a 21st century Remington, that's a pretty forlorn hope ;)

AR-7
Do not, repeat, do not take apart the trigger assembly.
Which is kind of ironic on a gun that is designed to be taken apart.

I’m still avoiding the fire control assembly on a cz75b, it just looks ugly.

It easy to take any gun apart ... now putting it back together can be another thing. Trickiest of mine is the aruger MkII but once you can master “the flip” it’s not that bad.

PSA on the Ruger Mark II.
If you tilt the barrel at a 45 degree angle there is no problem. That piece that gets hung up will hang down if you tilt the barrel up.

Oh, and no fan of the camp carbine lower assembly, they must have had a fixture for holding everything aligned while putting the left plate on.

The most aggravating gun I've ever worked on was one of the Ruger LCR's. Mark II's are childs play next to that revolver.

Mark III- What a PITA to put back together. I actually was so excited since they have made a part so it will fix the lock up problem. Bought two of them for $30 (one for Dad) and when I went to install it noticed it fixes all but the 22/45 version. Guess which one I have? Gonna put up the one foe sale on here at some point so someone else can enjoy knowing they will never have the lock up issue again.

Man, you guys complaining about the Ruger Mk IIIs need to man up. Even a little girl can do it:

If that's still too much for ya to handle, Majestic Arms sells some parts that make takedown easy peasy. It don't bother me. But I've also done a Winchester 94 :D

Ruger standard and a Remington 550-1.

Supposedly a 550-1 is almost impossible to put together. I know a fellow who sent his back to the factory.

I've never taken mine down. I give it the solvent/air hose/lube/air hose routine. It still runs like a charm.

I enjoy a challenge. Never had any issues with a Rem 66 or Ruger Auto pistols. But then again work daily on Miniguns and heavy weapons as a armorer/gunsmith. Biggest gun disassembled is a 120mm off the M1A1 tank and 30mm GAU-23 Bushmaster II on the AC-130W. Smallest guns are the NAA mini revolvers and FN Baby Browning.

Well let me put that rumor to rest. I took mine apart when I was about 16 years old and I did get it back together. It was a bear to do but I did it. I found out years later there is a trick to it. Mine had been stolen and I was buying another from a local gunsmith and told him about taking the first one apart. He said he had the same problem but another local gunsmith who was much older and wiser told him to use toothpicks to hold things in place till the pins could be put in. I never tried it but he said it works.

Sig Mosquito... Way too many pieces!

I'm With You CD. Have not had any trouble with Ruger the NAA or the FN Baby Browning. I bet it's easier to find a spring that went flying off the 120 MM M1 A1 than the NAA. My old fat fingers are challenged by those mouse guns.

My most difficult was an older Savage SxS that I had to disassemble for rebluing. I had to make a special tool, a hollow slotted nut driver that was necessary for removing the hammer spring retaining nut, which was in a small hole about 2 inches deep in the front of the reciever. It took longer to make the tool than it did to disassemble the gun.

I love puzzles. Never did understand the Ruger mark issues. Easy peasy here?

Funny aside. After my first upgrade of a mark pistol. (Years ago) had a gun counter "pro" say my just bought S&W mp9 would be tough to add Apex stuff to. Mentioned my mark III opinion and was told they are way easier....

Did a win 94. Tough and scary but doable.

The one I fought with the hardest was a danged mossy 500 in .410 lol. I didn't think I'd ever get the trigger housing back in. Think it had some tolerance stacking issues...

Marlin model 60 trigger/hammer assembly. Only took 2 weeks to get it back together
I watched my dad do that in the mid 60's with one he had.
He got it back together, but walked away a few times telling me to just stay there that he would be back in a few minutes.
